2 Two communications focus group were held on 29th and 30th July with representatives from a range of universities and research organisations. The discussions were extremely helpful in helping the project team understand the complexities of communicating messages about the system change to grant holders and research managers.
3 The following is a list of some of the main actions that emerged from the discussion Research Managers requested an indicative timetable for all communications that the project will send out over the coming months Research Managers would like a powerpoint presentation of the key messages that Research Organisations should be communicating to their researchers
4 All communications that are sent to PI should be copied to Research managers RO Lead Contacts should be published on the RCUK website Business process flow should be published on RCUK website RCUK roadshows should focus on reasons for collecting research outcomes and RCUK strategic plans going forward
5 The presentation slides that were used during the focus groups follow.
