SPEAKERS Alastair Lukies Business Ambassador to British Prime Minister on FinTech Alastair Lukies founded Monitise in Three years later, Monitise was recognised as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and in June 2007 he led the company s demerger from Morse and listing on the LSE's AIM market. In January 2014, he was first appointed as a Business Ambassador to the Prime Minister for the financial services industry by the UK Government, and today acts as the sole Business Ambassador for FinTech. 3 Marcus Swanepoel Co-founder and CEO, BitX Marcus Swanepoel who has previously worked for Morgan Stanley, 3i and Standard Chartered Bank is CEO and Co-founder of BitX, a global crypto-currency platform, providing highly secure mobile wallets, institutional quality exchanges and various API s for merchant and other business integration. The customers around the world use this platform for faster and cheaper money transfers, buying online, and trading and storing their Bitcoin. His team built the first ever fully-integrated Bitcoin / Blockchain system for a major multinational bank. Pınar Emirdağ CEO, Complymatic Pinar Emirdag is a business development professional focusing on disruptive technologies and market structure. She is the founder of SciencePeers. She is also a founding member of the UK Digital Currency Association, and a member of the advisory board for SenaHill Partners, LP. She is the former head of professional business development at London Stock Exchange Group Plc. She was director of global business development at Citigroup Inc.in London. Peter Randall CEO, SETL Peter Randall was founding CEO of Chi-X Europe Ltd. and led the company from 2005 until 2009 which co-incided with its growth from an unknown platform to be one of the top 5 platforms in Europe by volumes traded. 4 Wim Raymaekers Global Head of Banking Market, SWIFT Wim Raymaekers leads SWIFT s banking initiatives worldwide, and is responsible for developing and driving value propositions across the banking community. In this capacity, Wim s mission is to help banks grow their business, in view of evolving customer needs, technology innovations, and market requirements. Since joining SWIFT in1991, Wim has developed several initiatives that help banks to achieve operational efficiency and reduce costs, as well as improve liquidity management. He is also responsible for thought leadership initiatives in the areas of correspondent banking, block chain technologies, person-to-person payments, RMB internationalisation, and assists banks with the implementation of these into their strategic product offering. More recently, Wim is leading SWIFT s global payments innovation initiative. Wim Raymaekers will share his perspective on the change in payments and transfers world.
