2 About the Speakers : Cr WONG Wai Lun, Michael Cr Michael Wong is the Senior Project Manager of Hip Hing Engineering Co., Ltd. He is the corporate member of both HKICM and CIOB and an accredited mediator. He has managed various types of building projects including the luxury resident project Park Signature and the iconic Xiqu Centre, He has won several awards including, the the Young Construction Manager award, the Grand Award (New Works) Construction Manager and the Excellent Construction Team as Project Leader of his winning project Xiqu Centre in the CMA Cr WONG Chung Yuen Cr. CY Wong is the Project Manager of CR Construction Co. Ltd. He has over 22 years of experience in engineering and construction management, execution and site management in various projects of Institutional, Commercial and Infrastructure projects. He won the Young Construction Manager Award (Merit) and as the project leader of Chu Hai College of Higher Eduation new campus development in the CMA Mr. LAU Shu Hang, Ricco Mr. Ricco Lau is the Project Manager of Ray On Construction. He has over 19 years of management experiences in the company. He has completed 10 projects in the capacity of Project Manager since He is specialized in construction management of A&A projects. He has won the Construction Manager Award (Grand Award in A&A works) as the project leader of Ocean Terminal Extension and A&A works.

3 Synopsis : New Works (Grand Award) - Construction Manager, Young Construction Manager Award (Grand Award) - Cr WONG Wai Lun, Michael Xiqu Centre, A world-class arts venue dedicated to promoting the rich heritage of Xiqu The eight-storey steel frame construction building has a total area of 13,800 sq m and houses a Grand Theatre, accommodating 1,073 seats, a Tea House Theatre, with a capacity of up to 200 seats, eight professional studios and a seminar hall, all specially designed for different types of Xiqu-related functions and activities. As the project of the complex steel structure construction with high acoustic requirement for Theatre, Cr Wong shared the how and by what approach to tackle the construction difficulties during the construction period and how to execute the construction management to achieve the project completion with Final Client s satisfaction. Young Construction Manager Award (Merit) - Cr WONG Chung Yuen The Chu Hai College of Higher Education New Campus Development, Hong Kong (CHC) is a non-profit making organisation providing quality tertiary education in Hong Kong. To attain full international university status, CHC obtained a land grant from the Government to develop a new campus by CHC s vision is to develop a world-class and state-of-the-art facilities for a variety of tertiary education programmes. Chu Hai College of Higher Education New Campus Development, Hong Kong is a world class educational facility. This significant to the new compus now provides a range of teaching, research, lodging, executive and administrative spares, spreading over 26,500m2 of floor area. Its two main towers connected by 3 nos. steel bridges and sitting over an landscaped podium. The master plan of CHC to allow sufficient flexibily in International education and future development needs. The proposal is an assimilation of concepts covering sustainability, interfacing and integration with nature, reinforcing the college communities and multi-disciplinary collaborations and intellectual creativities.

4 A&A Works (Grand Award)- Construction Manager - Mr LAU Shu Hang, Ricco The Ocean Terminal Extension and Alteration & Addition Works to the Existing Ocean Terminal was a project commissioned by Harbour City Estates Limited. An all-star Design Team was recruited by the Employer for this landmark project determined to become a state-of-the-art complex that would draw customers to the premises, enhancing overall customer experience and rental performance of their property. The Objective was to draw patron traffic across the entire precinct to the premises. To provide a decent first impression to those visitors and tourists arriving Hong Kong via the cruise liners, outstanding design, top grade quality and excellent workmanship were requisite. Ray On Construction Company Limited was honoured to have been appointed the Main Contractor in this project and we were very proud to have undertaken such an exciting project that came along with so many challenges which we eventually resolved.
