6 Budget TOTAL: EUR 380,000 Lot 1. Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan). EUR 190,000 Lot 2. Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia). EUR 190,000 Size of Grants ü minimum amount: EUR 20,000 ü maximum amount: EUR 50,000

7 Percentages of total eligible costs of the ac?on ü Minimum percentage: 50 % of the total eligible costs of the acqon ü Maximum percentage: 100% of the total eligible costs of the acqon

8 Actors v Lead applicant: submits the applicaqon, signs the contract, and is directly responsible for the operaqonal and financial management v Co-applicant (s): parqcipate in designing and implemenqng the acqon, reports to the lead applicant v Affiliated enqty(ies): parqcipate in designing and implemenqng the acqon reports to the lead applicant and co-applicant (s)

9 Eligibility of applicants (1) Lead applicant must: ü Be a legal person established in any of the target countries ü Be non-profit-making ü Be a civil society organisaqon or university, including non-governmental non-profit organisaqons and interdependent poliqcal foundaqons, community based organisaqons, private sector non-profit agencies, insqtuqons and organisaqons and networks at local, naqonal, regional and internaqonal level with headquarters in any of the target countries

10 Eligibility of applicants (2) Lead applicant must: ü Be directly responsible for the preparaqon and management of the acqon with the co-applicant (s) and affiliated enqty (ies), not acqng as an intermediary ü Have a strong background in social research in the field

11 Co-applicant (s) must: Eligibility of applicants (3) ü SaQsfy the eligibility criteria as applicable to the lead applicant And ü Non-State Actors with headquarters outside of any of the countries targeted ( internaqonal co-applicant ) will be eligible ü Costs the co-applicant (s) incur cannot exceed 50% of the total eligible costs of the acqon

12 Eligibility of applicants (4) Affiliated enqty (ies) must: ü Have a structural link with the applicants (i.e. the lead applicant or a co-applicant/s), in parqcular a legal or capital link

13 Eligible ac?ons ü The duraqon of an acqon may not be lower than 6 months nor exceed 10 months ü Must take place in any of the target countries ü Appropriate acqviqes/methodology: Focus group with key actors, opinion surveys, in depth interviews, life story, discourse analysis, etc. ü Appropriate themaqc

14 Eligibility of costs Eligible direct costs: ü Incurred during the acqon ü Indicated in the budget ü Necessary ü Verifiable and IdenQfiable ü Reasonable and JusQfied

15 Eligibility of costs Eligible indirect costs: ü Overheads ü Not included in the eligible direct costs ü Total must not exceed 7 % of the esqmated total eligible direct costs

16 How to apply 1. First step: Fill and submit the concept note, check list and declaraqon by the lead applicant (Part A, secqon 2 and 3 of the grant applicaqon form) to the address: strive.admin@hedayah.ae Deadline: 22 May 2017, 11:59 pm Abu Dhabi Qme. 2. Second step: If the concept note is pre- selected, lead applicants will be invited to submit a full applicaqon (Part B of the grant applicaqon form)
