2 Mississippi Association Educational Opportunity Program Personnel AAEOPP /MAEOPP Staying Afloat: Sailing to A TRIO Victory in 2009 February 4, 2009 Greetings AAEOPPians and MAEOPPians, Along with Tracy Lyons, I would also like to invite you to attend the 2009 AAEOPP/MAEOPP Spring Conference in Biloxi, Mississippi, April We look forward to helping you Stay Afloat as we sail to a TRIO Victory in We will be aided in this effort by the inclusion of Priority 3 Training provided by our SAEOPP Training Center. You must register separately for training - see the attached flyer and visit: ***Please Note: Priority 3Training will replace all concurrent sessions. Enclosed is an electronic conference packet. No paper packets will be mailed out. Registration: We hope all of you will be in attendance. As an incentive, we offer all AAEOPP/MAEOPP members the low rate of $160 per person until March 30 th. As all of you know, it is impossible to plan effectively when you have no idea how many people will attend. If you think you will be attending, please go ahead and register. Even if you cannot get the Purchase Order or Check by the deadline, we will acknowledge you as registered. For your convenience, we have enclosed a sample invoice. Newcomer s Recognition: We no longer host a newcomer s reception. Instead, newcomers are welcomed at the President s Dinner and thus have an opportunity to meet everyone. Registered newcomers will receive a gift from AAEOPP or MAEOPP. Newcomers who register on site will receive the gift on a first come, first serve basis, if available. Conference Gifts: We are planning on a FABULOUS conference gift. However, we will only guarantee a gift for those who register by March 30. Persons who register on site will receive the conference gift on a first come, first serve basis, if available.
