2 PLAINFIELD COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 202 Plainfield, Illinois December 2017 Invitation to Bid - Summer 2018 REPLACEMENT OF ROOFING Plainfield Community Consolidated School District No. 202 is receiving bids for Summer of 2018 REPLACEMENT OF ROOFING. Bids are due Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A mandatory pre-bid meeting for the purpose of obtaining pertinent information in regards to the Summer of 2018 REPACEMENT OF ROOFING is required. The mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the District Operations Facility at S. Eastern Avenue, Plainfield, Illinois Bids are to be submitted to: Plainfield Community Consolidated School District No. 202 Attention: Paul Gonzalez S. Eastern Avenue, Plainfield, Illinois Bids must be clearly marked: REPLACEMENT OF ROOFING. The bid opening will take place in the offices of the Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 Richard Eldred Operations Facility, at S. Eastern Avenue, Plainfield, Illinois 60544, at the time stated above. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept bids in whole or in part and/or to waive any irregularities or defects in the proposal, when, in its opinion, such action will serve the best interests of the Board of Education of School District No Attached are the following: 1. 4 ADDENDUM #2 REROOFING WORK This addendum shall be considered as part of the bidding documents, as applicable, and shall govern insofar as it changes, deletes from or adds to the original Bidding Documents, as applicable. The Bidding Documents, as applicable, shall be modified to incorporate the following changes and clarifications: Central High School Freshman Center: A. Insulation Layers: 1) The written Spec (Pg 6) and the new construction illustration shown on drawing RP-4 are inconsistent. The following scope summarizes the correct specified replacement construction configuration (bottom to top): a. Structural metal deck b. 2.5 iso in Low-rise Foam (reuse existing) c. 2.5 iso in Low-rise Foam (new) d. 1 wfb in Low-rise Foam (new) e. 2-Type VI base plies in hot asphalt f. 1-SBS smooth MB in Hot-melt adhesive g.
