3 Sports Twenty-two athletics teams challenge almost 300 students in soccer, basketball, futsal, and volleyball. Team sports begin as early as kindergarten. Athletes compete with schools around the country through Association of Colombian and Caribbean American Schools (ACCAS). The school features two gymnasiums with volleyball and basketball courts, futsal field, and a full-size soccer field that doubles as two near-standard fields, all on the 7.5-acre campus. 5 Santiago Christian School Foundation A US based tax-exempt foundation raises money for Santiago Christian School and its ministries. A separate board of directors oversees the fundraising activities in the United States. Approximately $2,000,000 has been raised during the last five years to support and enhance the work of SCS. Ends Policy The Board s Ends policy describes the difference Santiago Christian School seeks to make in its beneficiaries lives (i.e., the lives of students). It is articulated in the Board s Governance Manual, directs all activities of the staff, and is summarized in the mission statement. The Ends policy was developed by the Board based on input from the school s constituency, and the school s Constitution reflects it. Students are personas íntegras, reflecting Jesus in character, wisdom, and influence, in an environment that models these same qualities, at a cost that is justified by the results. 1. In addition, the mission statement describes what the school does every day (forming personas íntegras). 8 Job Profile Institutional Advancement Administrator The Position: The Admissions Counselor will advance the Santiago Christian School mission by supporting the recruitment of students who will become personas íntegras. This person is responsible for identifying, marketing to, recruiting, enrolling and retaining qualified students for Santiago Christian School. In addition, this person will carefully track short and long term metrics, making recommendations for improvement based on findings. In cooperation with the administration, this person will strategically develop current SCS staff into effective ambassadors of the school. Close Working Relationships: Work directly with the Director of Institutional Advancement, principals, other administrators and teachers responsible for the education program. Work Hours: Monday through Friday work week with flexibility for evening appointments and events.
