Project Director: Pueblo Blanco Survey, Galisteo Basin, October-November 2005 (7 days) Supervised 3-person crew for a Class III survey of 435 acres within and around Pueblo Blanco, Santa Fe County. Discovered 36 sites primarily related to agricultural subsistence of the Pueblo IV period. Responsibilities also included touring the surveyed area with NM State Land Office s archeologist. Authored draft report. Project Director: Survey of 44 acres in Las Huertas Valley, Sandoval County, October 2005 (1 day) Supervised 1-person crew for Class III survey in the privately-owned Wild Horse Mesa Subdivision land, discovered 2 historical sites affiliated with early 20 th century Hispanic/Euro-American ranching and Native American camping subsistence strategies. Authored final report. Crew Chief: Survey of 3 MAPL Access Roads in Las Huertas Valley, Sandoval County, May-June 2005 (3 days). Supervised 1-person crew for a Class III survey of access roads leading to MAPL Segment 9 Loop, discovered 2 lithic scatter sites. Co-authored report (Addendum to MAPL survey report). The investigated sites are affiliated with Archaic, Formative and historical Native American cultures. Co-authored preliminary report. Project Director: Cochiti Fish Survey and Testing (mapping and reporting phase), April 2005 (1 day). Supervised a 1-person crew for mapping 6 sites along the Fishing Pier Access Road of the Tetilla Peak Recreation Area on the east bank of Cochiti Lake. Authored Data Recovery plan for additional excavation of a pit structure discovered during the testing phase. The DR plan also included reporting on the testing results. Crew Chief: NMARNG Camel Tracks Data Recovery, Phase 2. October - November (14 days) Supervised alternately a 2 to 3-person crew for excavations at 3 archaeological sites in the Camel Tracks Training Area on La Bajada Mesa. These sites are typically affiliated with Pueblo IV period Anasazi farming subsistence strategies. Also participated in ceramic analysis, report writing and reported the results of excavations in a paper and poster presentation at Pecos Conference in White Rock, New Mexico. Crew Chief: Alamogordo Flood Control Project, June August 2004, (57 days) Supervised alternately a 3 to 5-person crew during an excavation of an Early Mesilla to El Paso phase site within Alamogordo city limits. Responsibilities also included performing ceramic analysis and participation in report writing. Crew Member: Sewer and Waterline Construction, North Valley, Albuquerque. January 2004 (8 days) Participated in excavations of a historic campo santo on Alameda Boulevard in Albuquerque. Tucson, Arizona Surveys (SRI, Tucson, AZ) Crew Chief: Survey in the Long House Valley, Arizona, February-March 2002 (2 days) Supervised a 1-person crew for a Class III survey of pipe replacement sections in the Long House Valley. No new sites were discovered. Responsibilities included identification of features and in-field ceramic analysis. Crew Chief: Houghton Road Survey, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, February 2002 (2 days). Individually performed a Class III survey along both sides of Houghton Road. Two sites were discovered. One is a historic site related to CCC camps communal activities and the other is a Sedentary period Hohokam pit house village. Responsibilities included negotiation of future construction work with Tucson Electric Power Company and in-field ceramic analysis. Senior author of final report. Crew Chief: Archaeological survey of the Ak Chin site (TO:GA:6 [TO]) and the neighboring region, April- May 2001 (3 days). Supervised 4-person crew for a Class III survey on the Tohono O odham Nation, Arizona. Documented 6 Formative and historical sites with numerous human cremations exposed on the 5

6 surface. Responsibilities also included in-field site form preparation, ceramic analysis and co-authored report preparation. Crew Chief: Pantano Wash Bank Protection Survey, Pima County, AZ, September 2000 (2 days) Supervised a 1-person crew for a Class III survey along both banks of Pantano Wash in Tucson. No sites were discovered. Responsibilities included in-field ceramic analysis and co-authored report preparation. Crew Chief: Tanque Verde Bank Protection at Castle Rocks, Pima County, AZ, September 2000 (2 days) Supervised 1-person crew for a Class III survey along both banks of Tanque Verde Wash in Tucson. No sites discovered. Responsibilities also included in-field ceramic analysis and report preparation. Crew Member: Yavapai Ranch Survey, Yavapai County, Arizona, May-June 2000 (25 days) Participated in a Class III survey of private land funded by Prescott National Forest, Arizona. About 40 sites were discovered. The majority of the sites are affiliated with Native American occupation of Archaic, Formative and Historical period. Responsibilities included site map production, in-field and in the office ceramic analysis. Crew Member: Archeological Survey in the Baboquivari Mountains, Southern Arizona, Six sites discovered. (8 days in 1999). Crew Member/Crew Chief: Survey of Luke Air Force Range, Arizona, April-May 2000 (15 days). Participated in and also supervised a 3-person crew for a Class III survey of US military facilities near Gila Bend, Arizona. Several new and previously discovered sites were documented. The sites are affiliated with Gila Basin Hohokam, Tucson Basin Hohokam, Patayan, and Tohono O odham cultures. Responsibilities included site map preparation, in-field and in the office ceramic analysis and presenting a poster on the ceramic analysis at the SAA conference in Denver Crew: Archeological survey at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. June-September 1999 (55 days) Participated in a Class III survey of a US military facilities near Yuma, Arizona. Responsibilities included site map preparation and in-field ceramic analysis. Archeological Testing and Data Recovery (SRI, Tucson, AZ) Crew Chief: Fence Lake Data Recovery, July-September 2002, (47 days) Supervised a 3-person crew during excavations of five sites inside proposed Fence Lake mine, New Mexico. These sites are single-room field houses affiliated with Pueblo I - Pueblo II period Anasazi or Basketmaker II period occupation. Responsibilities also included coordinating the work of backhoe operator, the collection of material for archeomagnetic dates and participating in report writing. Crew Chief: Data Recovery at Long House Valley, Arizona, March-April 2002 (17 days) Supervised a 3-person crew during an excavation of a Pueblo III period Anasazi locus with 2 pit houses, 2 large storage cists and other small intramural and extramural features. Co-authored a paper on the research results which was presented at the 2003 SAA conference. Crew Chief: Marana Testing Project, Pima County, Arizona, March-April 2002 (15 days) Supervised a 3-person crew during a testing at a Classic period Hohokam village site about 1 mile outside the Marana Platform Mound. Fourteen adobe structures, two adobe compound walls, two middens, one horno, nine human cremations, and four human burials were discovered. Responsibilities also included coordinating the work with backhoe operator and performing in-field and in the office ceramic analysis. Crew Chief: Leasburg State Park Testing, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, March 2002 (5 days) Supervised a 3-person crew during a testing at a Jornada Mogollon site inside the Exotic Cactus Garden of the Leasburg State Park. Two pit structures were discovered and partially excavated. Responsibilities also included assisting the Magnetometer and Resistivity Meter operator, ceramic analysis and ceramic chapter preparation. Crew Chief: Canoa Ranch Testing/Data Recovery, Pima County, AZ, January-February 2002 (20 days) Supervised a 3-person crew during testing and excavations at 5 sites affiliated with Late Archaic and Colonial period Hohokam occupations in Green Valley, south Tucson. Responsibilities also included ceramic analysis and ceramic chapter preparation. Crew Chief: Fence Lake Testing and Data Recovery, near St. Johns AZ, November 2001 (20 days) Supervised a 3-person crew during testing and excavations at 2 sites along the Arizona side of Fence Lake Coal Transportation Corridor. These sites are affiliated with Pueblo I - Pueblo II period Anasazi occupation. Excavated a boulder shelter with 3 slab-lined hearths. Responsibilities also included coordinating work with backhoe operator and performing ceramic analysis. Crew Chief: Pantano Wash Testing, Pima County, Arizona, May 2001 (3 days) 6

7 Supervised a 3-person crew during an excavation of a Sedentary period Hohokam site. Responsibilities also included ceramic analysis. Crew Chief: Data Recovery at the Ak Chin Site, TO:GA:6 (TO), Gu Achi District of the Tohono O odham Nation, Arizona, March-April 2001 (20 days). Supervised a 4-person crew at a 1 mile long site affiliated with Sedentary-Classic period Hohokam and Tohono O odham historical period occupation. Numerous pit-features were discovered during a removal of accidental jet fuel spill on the Tohono O odham Nation land. Responsibilities included application of proper HAZMAT methods of work, monitoring the safety conditions in the soil and air, presentation of research results to the people of the Tohono O odham Nation, and performing ceramic analysis. Co-authored 3 preliminary reports. Crew Member: Testing at the Mescal Wash site at Marsh Station Road, Interstate 10, Arizona, June- August 2000 (30 days). Participated in testing at a large Sedentary-Classic period Hohokam village. Over 50 pit structures and above-ground adobe rooms were discovered. Responsibilities also included monitoring backhoe operation and in-field artifact analysis. Crew Member: Data Recovery at State Route 188, Arizona, September March 2000 (105 days) Participated in excavations at 9 prehistoric sites affiliated with Colonial-Sedentary-Classic period Hohokam occupation in the Tonto National Forest. Excavated 10 human burials and 2 pit structures. Responsibilities also included ceramic analysis.
