7 Happy Holiday to all, It is almost December, where has this year gone? December begins on the 1st with the schoolhouse production of "The Rocking Tale of Snow White". This year the program is put on by elementary and intermediate students. Hope that all will come to enjoy another "free" event. I'm certain there will be plenty of dancing and singing and even some refreshments. The fun begins at 7PM so be there by 6:30PM for a good seat. December 2nd is set for the flea market beginning at 9 a.m. Many hands make light work so come and join us on Friday morning. We'll have a good time. Ladies, everyone looks forward to your bake goods, so please drop them off in the kitchen during the afternoon on Friday, or bring them to the porch early in the morning on Saturday. Don't forget we have our 50/50 raffle as well as breakfast available form 8 to 10. This is a major money maker for HOA activities. Do hope that we see everyone there on December 3rd enjoying the activity. December 5th at 9AM is the hanging of the greens on the porch and in the auditorium. Please plan to come and help with the decorations. If we all work together, we can have it done in no time. Let's make the hall festive for our December 12th meeting. December 16th is the golf cart parade. We meet in the pavilion at 6:30PM for refreshments (please sign up the sign up sheet will be on the porch so we can plan on refreshments). If you would like to lead the parade, let me know and I'll give you additional information regarding the route. The parade takes off at 7PM. Let's decorate our golf carts, bicycles, motorcycle or scooter even your skateboard. See you there! December 25th is our annual Christmas dinner in the auditorium do plan on attending. Check the newsletter for more information regarding this. Christmas services will be on Christmas eve. Since terms on the board are for one year, in December we also need to begin the process of picking our new board for the HOA. If you would like to be on the election committee, please contact a board member. Also if you are interested in a position on the board, let it be known so that we can put you on the ballot. We will announce those running at the December 14th meeting. Voting will take place by secret ballot the first week in January and results and installation of officers will be at the January meeting. We hear that Betty Pitcock is doing well after having surgery. We missed her at Bingo Saturday night so we look forward to her quick return. Wayne Shaffer, who made our volunteer of the year plaque, has been in and out of the hospital this past month. We hope to see him back volunteering soon. Just a reminder that Blue Grass/Country music is in the Library on Wednesdays from 1 to 3PM and in the hall on Sundays from 1:30 to 3:30 on Sundays. There was a good group of players this weekend. Stop by and listen. Merry Christmas and a Healthy Happy 2017 to all! Beverly Good HOA President 7
8 The play is available to all residents and visitors of Tropical Haven. It will take place on December 1st at 7pm in the auditorium. OS Productions, a local group of home school students, will be returning with a performance of "The Rockin' Tale of Snow White" in a fresh and funny adaptation that will make even the most jaded among us laugh out loud! New characters and comedic twists come to life as a modern mom reads the Brothers Grimm tale to her restless children. In addition to the kind princess, evil queen, multiple dwarves and the morally conflicted Huntsman, this musical introduces us to some fresh new faces such as rhyme-happy ladies-in-waiting and a stick-in-the-mud governmental representative out to ruin everyone s good time! Be prepared to have a rockin' good time. Mark your calendar! Tropical Haven s Mini-Flea Market Day will take place from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd. Please call the Front Office to schedule a large item pickup. The cost is $7 per table, and payment is due at time of reservation. TRASH PICK-UP SCHEDULE Monday Regular Trash Wednesday Recycle Thursday Regular Trash and Yard Trash CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!!! Please assist us in decorating the community center on December 5th at 9 a.m. In addition, our annual Golf Cart Parade is scheduled for December 16th at 6:30 p.m. Please join us! Happy Holidays!
