1 Puzzle PrimroseRetirement.com January Wesley Way, Lancaster, OH 43130, (740) A Note from the Executive Director Today is a Great Day to Get Started We re living longer and healthier lives. We live in the middle of a global learning world that requires us to pay attention, constantly update, retool, rethink, and relearn. We are touched by learning broadly throughout our daily livesthrough directed efforts, and yes, by the formal experiences that we associate with traditional education. This past month we launched the PSU Lifelong Learning program. If you haven't had an opportunity to attend a class we hope you will soon. The idea behind our program is to provide you, our residents, with positive learning experiences. There are no tests or term papers or memorizing facts just an opportunity to share a positive experience with your fellow residents. This month our three classes are all about the 1950 s. So pull on that poodle skirt or roll up your blue jeans and join us for a walk down memory lane! Primrose Staff Adam Jones Executive Director Danelle Weaver Administrative Assistant Brandon Thomas Sales Director Laura Teagardner Director of Nursing Jennifer Feigley Memory Care Director of Nursing Christy Searles Director of Dining Bobbie Arnold Life Enrichment Jeff Rhymer Property Maintenance Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book, and remembering-because you can t take it all in at once. Audrey Hepburn
2 Karen is the star of our resident spotlight this month. Karen moved to Primrose on October 26, Before my retirement, I was involved in Book Keeping and was a Receptionist. Some of her hobbies are reading, keeping up on the news, arts, and crafts. Her favorite thing about living at Primrose is having people around her. Thank you for making Primrose your home, Karen! Resident Spotlight Karen (top right) is standing with some of the new friends she has made since she has moved to Primrose. Event Highlight Together We Fight, Together We Win! Our community came together to help an employee that is fighting Breast Cancer. We had a delicious spaghetti dinner that our wonderful kitchen staff put together, a bake sale along with a Chinese and silent auction that consisted of baskets and many other items that were donated as well, to raise money for any out of pocket expenses for our fellow employee. Thank you to staff, residents and family members for your participation. Brandon speaking to the group before the Chinese Auction. Employee Spotlight Coming Events Celebrations We have selected Cat for our staff spotlight this month. Cat Joined the Primrose team on October 9th, 2018, and serves our residents as one of the Resident Assistants. What I love most about my work is learning about the residents," she said. Outside of work, you can find Cat spending her time playing the piano and the ukulele. - Join us for our Monthly Alzheimer s Support Group on Thursday January 10th at 5pm - Happy Hour every Friday at 3pm in the Pub - Resident Council Tuesday January 9th at 1:30pm BIRTHDAYS Shirley K 9th Mary Lou H 14th Bill C 17th Lowell S 24th Shirley E 25th Peggy M 28th ANNIVERSARIES No Anniversaries for the Month NEW RESIDENTS Grace M Paul & Thelma D -
