8 THE SHADOW PROGRAM Programs programs are designed to introduce students to six specific areas of the Monmouth experience to assist first year students in their transition. Programs that fall under the Program will occur within the first two months of the semester. Events will fall under the following categories: Service and Leadership Hawk Pride Academic Resources Diversity Organizations and Involvement Wellness Students who attend at least one program in each category will receive a hoodie and will be invited to enter to win more prizes such as concert tickets, $500 Bookstore Gift Card, an Apple Watch, and more.

9 FIRST YEAR SERVICE PROJECT: HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS Year long initiative for the First Year class to be engaged in a project to better their surrounding communities and Monmouth County Being involved with the year round projects will make a positive impact on the over 3 million people that experience homelessness. Different engagement opportunities include weekly meetings, monthly social events, a fall semester kickoff event, trunk or treat, Thanksgiving food and fundraiser, and more!

THE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FOR FIRST YEAR TRANSFORMATION (LIFT) Freshman Leadership Academy 5 week workshop series focusing on development topics (Fall).

The Student Leadership Challenge 1, Half Day Workshop. Discover leadership style Activities to apply leadership skills.

10 THE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FOR FIRST YEAR TRANSFORMATION (LIFT) Freshman Leadership Academy 5 week workshop series focusing on development topics (Fall). All activity and discussion based. Partner with a local non-profit. Spring 2018 students planned & executed a college visit for middle & high school students.
