2 Career Office of A.Τ.Ε.Ι. Thessaloniki It is like an institution to the service of the students and the graduate members of the ATEI. The last thirteen years ( ) the Career Office has been aspiring to connect education with the social and productive environment, while maintaining ties with the Greek and the International Academic Community. Many of the aspirations have become true, other are yet to be achieved.

3 Career Office of A.Τ.Ε.Ι. Thessaloniki The main role of the Career Office is to provide proffer to the students and the graduate members of the Institution. The Career Office provides substantial help in designing their professional career either by giving options for career development, or by proving counselling services in order to achieve continuing education (MSc, MA, PhD). The Career Office utilizes every opportunity of communication and information possible.

4 To whom it addresses to: To the students and graduate members of ATEI Thessaloniki, who are interested in career development, postgraduate studies, scholarships, opportunities for professional education and to those who need support during their academic and professional career To enterprises, professionals, Organisations, Public Services, Local Government services who require specialised personnel of technological education. To Corporative Conveyors (Federations, Con-Federations, Co-operatives) for forwarding equivalent specialised personnel.

5 Career counseling consists of a service at the Career Office at AΤΕΙ ΤHESSALONIKI which aims to provide help for the best connection of the Institution s graduate members with the labor market. As a service it numbers many methods with most fundamental: One on one counseling: Sessions that are conducted face to face with the career counselor during which someone can discus potential perspectives in career development, to seek information and be aimed in decision making. Also to focus and become aware of skills and qualifications he acquires and broaden them out. Moreover to deal with matters that arise from the transition between the academic and the working life.

6 Group counseling: It is conducted in the form of seminars held as workshops that have a predetermined theme and program, as well as number of participants. Meetings - Events: They constitute open gatherings where external speakers present matters that refer to academic and vocational guidance and orientation.
