SALISBURY NHS FOUNDATION TRUST PAPER: SFT 3002 TITLE: TRUST PERFORMANCE REPORT TO END OF APRIL 2010 PURPOSE: To povide summay infomation to the Tust Boad on the Tust's pefomance on key activity and quality indicatos. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The pefomance epot sets out a numbe of key indicatos unde the headins of quality, finance and activity, efficiency and staffin. Fo each indicato pefomance ove time and aainst plan, whee appopiate, is shown and an indication of tend and a taffic-liht atin is iven in elation to oveall pefomance. 1. The povisional fiue, which is still bein validated, indicates cancellations on the day of suey inceased in Apil. A numbe of cancellations aose fom: sueon sickness, the phacoemulsification machine beakin down in DSU leadin to the cancellation of a cataact list and the impact of emeency pessues. 2. The Tust continues to comply with all the cance waitin time taets and with the efeal to teatment time taets. The Tust is epotin fo the fist time the numbe of patients who have waited lone than 18 weeks fo capacity easons as a pecentae of the total waitin list. This numbe needs to educe if the Tust is to delive the NHS constitution equiement fo patients efeed afte 1 st Apil. 3. The ED 4 hou taet was missed by 0.2% in Apil which epesents the fist time since Novembe that this taet has not been achieved on a monthly basis. Pefomance has impoved in May. 4. Both the othopaedic lenth of stay indicatos ae shown as ed atin. The depatment is cuently implementin an enhanced ecovey appoach fo patients equiin hip eplacements which one of the sueons is pilotin fom 7 th June. The sevice has been unde establishment fo theapy staff, but now has a Head Theapist in post and has been successfully ecuitin. 5. Codin timeliness has deceased in Apil aisin fom staff availability.
