The Senior Residential Care Worker is also required to supervise and support other Residential Care Workers within the IFYS Ltd Residential Care Services Team and work closely with the IFYS Ltd Residential Care Coordinator to provide a high level of operational delegation and activity planning for the programs as well as supporting the Coordinator in the day to day running of IFYS Ltd Residential Care Program. The Senior Residential Care Worker will be required to work shiftwork on a rostered basis for the spread of shifts Monday to Sunday. Where applicable, penalties and allowances will apply in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services industry Award 2010. PRIMARY PURPOSE A person employed as a Senior Residential Care Worker is subject to broad direction from the Residential Care Coordinator and Residential Care Area Manager and exercises responsibility for IFYS s Ltd relevant activities. The key feature of this role is to support young people displaying challenging and/or complex behaviours to achieve agreed goals and to develop and nurture collaborative partnerships and linkages aimed at improving client outcomes. The Senior Residential Care Worker is responsible for the facilitation of the program/work area including assisting the Residential Care Coordinator to convene team meetings, case discussions and conduct peer supervision to fulfil work area objectives. The Senior Residential Care Worker will be required to participate to the development of operational policies, procedures and protocols for the designated work area in consultation with the Residential Care Coordinator. The Senior Residential Care Worker is responsible for providing a high level of operational support to the Residential Care Coordinator. Provide a high level of activity planning and case work support as directed by the Residential Care Coordinator. Service Development and Planning Contribute to the development of operational policies, procedures and protocols for the designated work area, in consultation with the Residential Care Coordinator and Area Manager. Develop and maintain activity planner and facilitate a high level of community involvement for the young people. the work area. Work with the Residential Care Coordinator to support team meetings, case discussions and peer supervision to fulfil work area objectives. Administration Provide support to the Residential Care Coordinator to ensure that the service area maintains accurate records including client service folders, statistical data, financial transactions, and property files. Provide a level of operational support to the Residential Care Coordinator. Contribute to the development of written reports including Action and Behaviour Support Plans, Weekly Reports and Annual Reports as directed by the Residential Care Coordinator and/or Area Manager Leadership and Learning Contribute to a work environment that enhances teamwork, trust and loyalty. Maintain a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity within the work unit and when representing IFYS externally. Actively participate in professional supervision, peer supervision and in learning and development opportunities. You have demonstrated experience in the management and clinical supervision of a small team and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision.
