Gary K. McMillen, right, and 1st Sgt.Tony Burford. Lead finance clerk Lucienne De Meo handles the transaction, as Spec. Joevanny Alicea of Kwajalein Post Office looks on. Instead of the usual 33 cents for a first-class stamp, this one costs 40 cents; a book is $8 instead of $6.60. The extra 7 cents per stamp goes to research. The USPS said that if all the stamps are sold, $16 million will be raised to Fund the Cure. The stamps are available at Kwajalein and Roi-Namur March 1, coinciding with the opening of Women s History Month. The honor and other accolades were presented at USAKA/KMR s monthly awards meeting Saturday.
