Features include: Arrival and appintment kisk with extensive data validatin, including up t date cntact, next f kin, allergies, address etc. This ensures the practice and dctr is cmpliant in accrdance with the RACGP accreditatin standards Ability t enter new patient data int medical sftware (n paper registratin) Medicare batching is executed 3 times per day t ensure faster cashflw All Medicare billing is checked by the Tele Management team t ensure items are charged as per the dctr s instructins and are Medicare cmpliant This is NOT yur run f the mill centre! Medpd s innvatins suits dynamic, business minded dctrs Answers t dctrs questins: Q1 What if there is a medical emergency? There is a defibrillatr in the clinic and a registered nurse will be available during pening hurs. An ambulance bay is lcated utside the clinic. Westfield Shpping Centre s als have emergency equipment as per their cmpliance requirements. Q2 Hw ften will my fees be transferred? Fees frm the previus week will be transferred the fllwing Tuesday.

Q3 Will I receive a retainer during the first few mnths? Yes, yu will receive either a retainer f $120 per hur r 65% f yur receipted fees (whichever is the greater) fr the first 3 mnths. Hwever, frm the respnse we have already had frm future patients and Westfield, yu shuld be receiving 65% f yur receipted fees frm the start f yur practice. Q4 What technlgy is available at Medpd s? All recalls and appintment reminders are autmated. Each rm has a duble mnitr, i.e. ne side fr yur medical sftware, ne side fr emails, websites etc. Each Medpd has a kisk where patients update their details and infrmatin regarding chrnic disease management, i.e. allergies, address, NOK, smking status. Patient recrd infrmatin will be up t date easier fr accreditatin visit! Q5 Hw will patients knw I am practicing at the Medpd? Each dctrs name will be displayed n the windw, HealthEngine marketing and general marketing materials. Q6 Hw many ther dctrs/nurses are wrking at the clinic? Yu will be wrking with 1 ther dctr, a nurse and a receptinist Q7 Hw many hurs am I expected t wrk? Hurs are negtiable. We want t encmpass the wrk life balance at the Medpd s. Our aim is t ensure there is stability f staff and a happy, healthy wrking envirnment. Q9 D I have t wrk n the weekends? Weekend wrk is negtiable.

Q10 D I have t d nursing hme visits? Dctrs will nt be required t d either hme r nursing hme visits. Hwever, if yu d have a patient yu wish t see at hme r in an aged care facility, this will nt be an issue. We wuld assume that ff-site visits wuld be rganized at the discretin f the dctr and ut f nrmal Medpd hurs. Q11 Hw will I grw my practice? Yu will have access t a practice management cmpany wh will supply yu with mnthly financial reprts and data t help yu keep abreast f trends and marketing strategies. We will wrk with yu t create a dynamic practice and encurage yu with any special interests r study. Westfield have ffered a fantastic marketing strategy fr the Medpd s and Medpd s als have their wn marketing gurus. Q12 What is the anticipated patient lad per hur? 4 patients per hur Q13 Hw lng is the standard appintment? Standard appintment time is 15 minutes Q14 What are the hurs r rster ptins? Hurs are negtiable. Q15 Des the Medpd s lcatin have a carpark space fr the GP There is ample parking at the Westfield shpping centre but n designated car parks fr any staff members. Q16 Is a registered nurse rstered n fr all pening hurs? There will be a practice nurse rstered fr week day business hurs.

Q18 Hw is all billing/paperwrk prcessed? The patient will checkin via the kisk. The dctr will enter the item number as they wuld nrmally thrugh the medical sftware, and then the management team will prcess the payment in the medical sftware. If there is uncertainty abut any item numbers, this will be cleared by the General Practitiner befre prcessing. Q19 Des the practitiner require special prfessinal indemnity insurance t wrk at the Medpd s? There are n variances fr insurance. Q20 D I have t sign a cntract fr a minimum perid? The standard cntract is fr twelve mnths with an ptin. Q21 What are the restraints f trade if I leave Medpd s t wrk smewhere else? The restrictive cvenant in the cntract is fr a perid f 6 mnths within a 5km radius f the Medpd yu were cntracted t.
