FALL 2017 SPRING 2018

WELCOME Dining Services is pleased to welcome you to Florida Institute of Technology. As a student, we realize your time on campus is valuable. As you get settled at Florida Tech, you will be attending classes, going to club meetings and making new friends. Added to these new experiences is dining on campus. Dining Services offers a unique combination of dining venues to ensure all your culinary needs are met. We offer the traditional all-you-care-to-eat residential dining hall, as well as a la carte retail venues in settings that are convenient and comfortable. We also offer food delivery services to your residence hall and an electronic catalog program Groceries 4U, providing a grocery store online with over 800 offerings. We look forward to serving you, our new, continuing or commuter student. It is our goal to make your dining experiences enjoyable, while providing quality menu selections and customer service.

THE MEAL PLAN PROGRAM All campus food options are available via the meal plan program. The meal plan is a pre-paid program providing students with access to food and services. The benefits of the meal plan that you select are loaded onto your Florida Tech Student ID Card eliminating the need to carry cash or an additional card. Included in the meal plans are MealCredits and FlexCredits, which can be used toward purchases at the traditional residence dining hall or retail venues, food delivery services and online grocery shopping. MEALCREDITS MealCredits are included in select meal plans and they are redeemable at Panther Dining Hall, our all-you-care-to-eat residence dining hall location. All freshmen dining plans offer unlimited MealCredits and, therefore, unlimited access and meals in Panther Dining Hall. Students with the A1 Plan have unlimited access seven days per week, while those who choose the A2 Plan have unlimited access Monday through Friday only. The upper-class students (sophomores through graduate students) may choose either of the A plans or a U meal plan. The U1 Plan has unlimited MealCredits to be used in Panther Dining from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The U2 Plan is FlexCredit only. MealCredits are reserved for and may only be used by the Meal Plan holder. MealCredits are not transferable from semester to semester. The MealCredits have no cash redemption value and are non-transferable to FlexCredits or Panther Card Cash. FLEXCREDITS FlexCredits are a declining balance food access program that is included in each meal plan. FlexCredits offer students flexibility and freedom to make food purchases from any Florida Tech dining location or online. Although FlexCredit benefits are stated in dollars and cents for ease of use, there is no residual cash value in the plan. FlexCredit is part of your meal plan and represents access to food and services only. All FlexCredit must be used in the current academic year. No amount of unused benefit will be refunded or transferred to your student account. FlexCredit can be redeemed at: Panther Dining Hall Panther Grocery Store Rathskeller Rathskeller Convenience Store Rathskeller Pizza Delivery Black Kats Kafé Student Union Building (SUB) Café Center Court at the Clemente Center Groceries 4U electronic grocery store Campus vending machines Evans Library Coffee Bar FlexCredits can be used to purchase food for friends or family members. FlexCredits are nonrenewable (additional deposits cannot be made throughout the semester). FlexCredits that are not used by the end of the fall semester will transfer to the spring semester; however, students are encouraged to use all of their FlexCredits by the end of the spring semester, as they do not carry forward. FlexCredits not used at the end of the spring semester are nonrefundable.
