The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) welcomes you to the 63 rd AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition, the largest land power exposition and professional development forum in North America. The Meeting will take place 9-11 October 2017 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. AUSA is a member-based, nonprofit professional organization proudly serving America s Army and its supporters. If you have a connection with the Army professionally or personally AUSA is your resource for Soldier and family programs, educational resources, business opportunities, and more. Join us today at Location The 2017 AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition is conveniently located in the heart of Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Pl NW, Washington, D.C The facility is metro accessible and offers parking spots within a three-block radius. Security AUSA has added certain security measures that affect access to and movement within the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Please be advised that for security reasons, badges must be worn at all times in order to be in the building. Admission Policy AUSA welcomes its members, military and civilian employees of the United States armed forces, designated representatives of exhibitor and member companies, invited guests of the Association, and others who have an identifiable relationship with the United States Army. Military family members are also welcome to attend the Annual Meeting. Some events may not be appropriate for children. All attendees must provide proof of identity by a Government issued photographic ID and must demonstrate that they have an identifiable relationship with the United States Army. A full list of applicable relationships may be obtained at General Information Registration Registration for the Annual Meeting is free. Visitors with registration badges are admitted at no charge to all program sessions and exhibit areas. Attendees may register Friday, 6 October through Saturday, 7 October in the West Registration area, and Sunday, 8 October through Wednesday, 11 October in both the East and West Registration areas. 6 Tickets Tickets and an ID badge are required for admission to social functions, including the President s Reception, Dwight David Eisenhower Luncheon, Guard & Reserve Breakfast, Corporate Member Luncheon, Army Civilian Luncheon, and George Catlett Marshall Memorial Reception and Dinner. Other ticketed events are noted in this program and in the AUSA app. All attendees must have tickets in their personal possession and display their ID badge prior to entry into the function area. Tickets for each function may be purchased at the Sales Booth located in the West Registration area from Friday, 6 October through Wednesday, 11 October while supplies last. See the schedule for specific times. Exhibits Over 750 organizations have joined this year s Annual Meeting & Exposition. Exhibit halls are located on both levels of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Halls A, B, and C are on the lower level, and Halls D and E are on the upper level. Special features include the Small Business Pavilions (Halls A and E), the Homeland Security Pavilion with exhibits from the Department of Homeland Security (Hall A), the Veterans Pavilion (Hall A), the Cyber Pavilion (Hall E), the Family Readiness Pavilion (Hall B), and the AUSA Pavilion (Hall A). General Information United States Army Display The United States Army display is located in Exhibit Hall D, Booth #6829. The display will showcase experimental and prototypical models of the latest developments in Army equipment and materiel, as well as mission performances of selected Army commands. Warriors Corner The Warriors Corner, located in Exhibit Hall D, Booth #6829, will feature special presentations from Army Commands and other Army leaders. 8 United States Army Assembly Areas In addition to the Warriors Corner in Hall D, Booth #6829, the United States Army will also host three assembly areas: one for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)) and the United States Army Materiel Command in Hall E, Booth #7515; one for the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Hall B, Booth #2925; one for and the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Installations, Energy and Environment) (ASA(IE&E)) in Hall B, Booth #1725. United States Army Innovators Corner The United States Army Innovators Corner, located in Hall B, Booth #2361, provides attendees the opportunity to interface with senior Army Science & Technology leaders and learn about their organizations capabilities and priorities. Engage with representatives on technology transfer opportunities and ways for industry and academia to partner with Army research and development. See the schedule starting on page 52. United States Army Retirement Credit Points Army National Guard and United States Army Reserve personnel attending program sessions are authorized one retirement credit for each day s attendance, if at least four hours are spent in program sessions in uniform (reference NGR 680-2, paragraph 2-3 and Appendix C, Rule 6, and Army Regulations and ) Coordinate with your unit chain of command regarding retirement point application. United States Army Soldier for Life A Soldier for Life is a trusted professional who honorably served and remains connected with the Army team long after hanging up their uniform. It is a shift in how we focus Soldier support services in all phases of the Soldier lifecycle. The Soldier for Life exhibit, located in Hall E, Booth #8353, showcases the various employment, educational, healthcare, retirement services and resources available to Soldiers, their families, and veterans. 9 AUSA Pavilion Stop by the AUSA Pavilion in Exhibit Hall A, Booth #307 to relax, recharge, and take full advantage of your AUSA membership benefits. If you re not already a member, come find out why your friends and colleagues have already made the pledge to support America s Army. You ll also have a chance to stock up on the latest Army publications written by independent Army subject matter experts, meet dedicated partners, collect cool giveaways, and pick up gifts and souvenirs at the AUSA Gift Store. Family Readiness Pavilion The AUSA Family Readiness Pavilion is located in Exhibit Hall A and will feature twenty-four non-profit organizations and service providers aimed at increasing the quality of life for Soldiers and their families. General Information AUSA Homeland Security Pavilion AUSA will host the Homeland Security Pavilion with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Hall A, Booth #225. The pavilion will include exhibits from DHS divisions such as the Secret Service, Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and more. Attendees can view special demonstrations, join in tech talks, and explore DHS job opportunities. AUSA Small Business Pavilion This year AUSA will host two Small Business Pavilions: one in Hall A, Booth #539, and one in Hall E, Booth #7811. AUSA recognizes small businesses as a critical component to Army readiness. Learn about regulatory changes, business opportunities, and certifications during the complementary Small Business Seminar. 10 Warriors to the Workforce: Veterans Hiring Event Located in Hall A, Booth #261, Warriors to the Workforce brings together major companies as they provide employment opportunities for our veterans. Attending veterans have the chance to talk with employers, submit qualifications, and participate in on-the-spot job interviews. Battle Challenge A highly innovative competition with a purpose, Battle Challenge is a unique fitness and ability-based military sport comprised of marksmanship skills and job-related tasks highly relevant to the United States Armed Forces. Join attendees in Hall C, Booth #4000 to participate or watch competitors perform a series of nine tasks while racing against the clock in an adrenaline filled, side-by-side battle field simulation. Visit the booth for registration information. AUSA Walking Challenge As part of AUSA s ongoing initiative to encourage healthy activity AUSA events, we want you to step up to better health! Attendees can challenge themselves, their friends, or new connections to stay moving and work their way up the Leader Board. One winner will be announced each day, and an overall winner will be announced at the end of the event. All winners will be recognized on Wednesday, 11 October. 11 ILW Contemporary Military Fora The Institute of Land Warfare (ILW) Contemporary Military Fora offer professional education opportunities on defense topics, and are open to Annual Meeting badge-holders. Select presentations will be available via the Association s website at Information Booth/Lost and Found An information booth, located in the Central Registration area, will be open during meeting business hours to answer questions and give directions. Lost and found will also be at this location. AUSA does not assume responsibility for any lost or stolen items. Nursing Mothers / Changing Room AUSA has provided dedicated space for nursing mothers in Salon E, located in East Registration. Refrigeration is provided. Please clearly mark all containers with a name and phone number. A separate changing room is also available in Salon E in East Registration. Please do not leave personal belongings in the changing room. A coat check is available in West Registration for short-term storage.
