1 Wiesbaden 2S-1: 2d Theater Signal Brigade, Public Affairs Office, International Relations Intern will learn how 2d Theater Signal Brigade engages with host nation officials and members of the Bundeswehr/international militaries. Intern will learn the fundamentals of strategic communications, journalism and photography methods, as well as social media and website skills. Applicable area of study: Public Affairs, Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, Communications, Translating C-1: US Army Corps of Engineers - Europe District, Engineering and Construction Division, Engineering Branch Gain practical experience alongside engineers working on the design review of DoD Schools and the implementation of energy and sustainability projects within the NAU AOR. Applicable area of study: Engineering, architecture, energy, sustainability I-20: Installation Management Command - Europe, USAG Wiesbaden, Public Affairs Office Intern will learn Public Relations, Public Affairs, Media Relations, Community Relations, Journalism and Photography. Projects would be focused largely around the planning of the 2019 Berlin Airlift Celebration; the Garrison Change of Command; and others. Intern would have the opportunity to experience multiple facets of the Public Affairs field. Applicable area of study: Public Relations, Journalism, Public Affairs, Marketing U-2: USAREUR, HQ USAREUR, Political Advisor Office Learn the functions of the Foreign Policy Advisors Office and experience direct liaison with Congressional representatives and administrative responsibilities associated. Projects would include assisting the Public Affairs staff in organizing medium/large media events within the Community. Applicable area of study: Public Relations, Journalism U-4: USAREUR, HQ USAREUR, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate Learn about the field of Legal Services in USAREUR at various internship stations in different divisions of the Office of the Judge Advocate. The relevant legal fields include, amongst other, International Law and German Civil, Criminal and Public Law. 3 Stuttgart I-15: Installation Management Command - Europe, USAG Stuttgart, Directorate of Emergency Services, Fire Department Intern will learn firefighting skills and understand critical training required to become a certified member of a firefighting crew. Learn building code requirements as well as aircraft rescue firefighting techniques. Fire Inspection training that will assist in code enforcement and public education. Applicable area of study: Life, safety and health protection, Fire Protection and Prevention I-16: Installation Management Command - Europe, USAG Stuttgart, Directorate of Emergency Services, Law Enforcement Division Intern will learn Language Specialist/Translator skills, begin core training to become qualified/certified to be a translator. These techniques include document review, taking and translating emergency calls and responding with law enforcement to scenes of emergencies to mitigate emergencies impacting the community. Applicable area of study: English, Foreign Language Studies/Translation I-17: Installation Management Command - Europe, USAG Stuttgart, Directorate of Emergency Services, Fire Department Intern will learn dispatching of emergency services to include, but not limited to, police and fire assistance, both U.S. and Host Nation responders. Provide emergency dispatch functions to assist callers and provide emergency care prior to the arrival of first responders. Applicable area of study: Fire Protection and Prevention and law enforcement I-18: Installation Management Command - Europe, USAG Stuttgart, Directorate of Public Works, Engineering Division Intern will learn Project Management functions through the application of Status of Forces Agreement construction standards under ABG 75. Project types are construction, renovation, and restoration ranging in size from $100K to $1,500K. Applicable area of study: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management I-19: Installation Management Command - Europe, USAG Stuttgart, Directorate of Human, Army Substance Abuse Program Learn administrative and logistical functions, as well as statistical analysis record keeping of the Army Substance Abuse program. Experience the functions of Drug Testing Coordinator (DTC) for the Installation. Hands-on practical application of quality control checks on collected specimens, and procedures to ensure that chain of custody procedures are followed and are accurate. Applicable area of study: Substance Abuse prevention, Social Work Services (clinical)

4 Kaiserslautern (including Sembach area) A-1: 405th Army Material Command, Army Oil Analysis Program Lab Learn analysis processes, identification methods and testing procedures of various organic and inorganic substances such as oil, lubricants, etc. by using instruments like Spectrometer etc. Explore pre-operational checks and calibration processes and techniques. Focus on developing a real-world exploration of exact functions of instruments used for substance analysis. Applicable area of study: Chemistry I-11: Installation Management Command - Europe, HQS IMCOM-E, Public Affairs Office, Host Nations Relations Focus on host nation/community relations and the importance of those functions between U.S. military forces and Allies, from the federal to the state to the local level. S. Army Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) operates in Germany. Projects would include assisting the Public Affairs staff in organizing medium/large media events within the Community. Applicable area of study: Public Relations, Photographer, Videographer, Journalist I-10: Installation Management Command Europe, USAG Bavaria, Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Experience being part of an Interactive Team with creating and monitoring content for social media plateforms based on marketing messaging and goals. Learn about processes developing on-site events. Real-world application of learned creative techniques to new marketing tools, and understand development and evaluation of customer surveys. Practical experience writing feature length articles, website updates, message plans and social media strategies. Gain a deeper understanding of military protocol functions. Learning experience will incorporate an introduction and exposure to ministry and chapel setting. Intern will be given the opportunity to develop basic administrative and computer technical skills, attend staff meetings and presentation briefs. Additional focus areas include planning and administrative functions, and event management for medium size training events alongside of RSO personnel. Projects will include activity reports and summaries, management analysis to identified and rectify deficiencies. Applicable area of study: Business Administration, Project Management, Hospitality Management and Administration I-2: Installation Management Command Europe, USAG Ansbach, Directorate of Public Works, Operations & Maintenance Division Learn to develop plans, and detailed design for mechanical, gas, water, sanitary and electrical facility systems. Gain practical knowledge on Computer programs controlling the Energy Monitoring Control System (UEMCS). Perform technical review and/or develop construction specifications, work descriptions and engineering requirements of repair, maintenance, installation and construction type projects for all utility systems. Apply US and Host Nation Laws, policies and technical publications. Learn to coordinate project design and execution with higher headquarters and work as Contracting Officers Representative (COR). Applicable area of study: Operation & Maintenance, Utilities/UEMCS I-3: Installation Management Command Europe, USAG Ansbach, Directorate of Public Works, Operations & Maintenance Division Learn the Energy Program, to apply newest Executive Orders, Laws and policies. Get familiar with ECIP and ESPC projects and develop Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) for Energy Projects. Collect Utilities /Renewable Energy Data to work with the Army Water and Energy System (AEWRS). Applicable area of study: Energy Management I-4: Installation Management Command Europe, USAG Ansbach, Directorate of Public Works, Master Planning Division Learn Master Planning and Community Planning functions as well as participate as a crossfunctional team member in design charrettes, area development plans, and project planning and design. Intern will conduct facility utilization studies and utilize CAD, GIS, and Sketch Up to develop various courses of action and presentations for decision/approval.
