9 Scholarship for Women with Bleeding Disorders 2014 DEADLINE APRIL 15, 2014 Candidate: The Victory for Women Program (V4W) is proud to announce an academic scholarship for women with bleeding disorders commemorating Doreen McMullan McCarthy, a young nurse and loving mother, who passed away from complications of von Willebrand Disease in 1979 when she was 25 years old. This scholarship is named in her honor, and those family members who keep her spirit alive: her mother, Connie McMullan, her brother, Patrick McMullan, and her son, Jamie McCarthy.
