Studies that examine complex and intellectual issues using a multidisciplinary or comparative perspective are encouraged. AAS will make its historic records accessible to scholars. Visiting scholars are expected to be in residence throughout the academic year (September-May). Stipend is $45,000 for postdocs and up to $65,000 for faculty. 4 Supports international education professionals and senior university administrators in two, three-week summer seminars in either France (2/1), Germany (2/1), India (8/1), Japan (11/1), Korea (11/1), or United Kingdom (TBD). Seminars introduce participants to the society, culture, and higher education systems of these countries through campus visits, meetings with foreign colleagues and officials, attendance at cultural events, and briefings on education. Getty Pre- and Postdoctoral Fellowships support emerging scholars to complete work on projects related to the Getty Research Institute's annual theme. Grants-in-Aid Program (11/1) offers support to scholars (up to $5,000) in any discipline who are engaged in research requiring the use of the archival collections housed at the center. Also supports short-term research (applications accepted anytime) in the Paul Ehrlich Collection. Up to $2500 is available. Disciplines include history, political science, literature, Jewish studies, philosophy, religion, sociology, anthropology, comparative genocide studies, law, and others.
