Students, who would like to improve their knowledge in German find a list of course offering institutions in the appendix. Wiener Internationale Hochschulkurse offer a 25% price reduction for ERASMUS students. Additionally the Ausseninstitut offers a 4,5-hours-per-week-course in Technisches Deutsch a basic knowledge of German is required. Approximately 5% of all courses are offered in English. 4 If you decide to follow ECTS principles, please have in mind that the official length of studies (5 years, 10 semesters) is less than the average time taken by local students (7 years). A workload of 60 credits per year is related to a 5 year`s study and has therefore to be considered as more than an average Austrian student would perform during a year. Usually double-rooms at an average price between 180,- up to 285,- per month are available. The average rate for private accommodation is about 220,- to 290,- per month. The best way to get to the city center is taking the bus to the City Air Terminal (Hilton hotel).
