Operating over 26 years across Peel Region 4 Adult Day Programs, Education Services, Family Support and Counselling Services, Volunteer Services, First Link, Respite Care and Support and Fundraising
3 PEEL Organization wide Completed a French Language Services Implementation Plan in 2010, developed a work plan to enhance access to French services and access to information in French and other languages

7 Serving our Community There are currently 10 programs or services provided by the hospital: General Medicine Surgery Renal (regional) Oncology (regional) Emergency Mental Health Continuing Care/Rehabilitation Obstetrics and Gynaecology Paediatric
8 Serving our Community We Are Expanding Existing hospital 816,000 square feet. Adding 270,000 square feet for palliative and complex continuing care and regional maternal child centre. Increasing bed capacity from 392 to 471 beds. Additional 460 new parking spaces. Completion spring 2011.
9 Serving our Community Key Results Areas Knowledge and Awareness Public Staff French Language Services Capacity among staff Indicators Educating staff on the FLSA FLSA presentation included on the intranet site and portal for new hires Core information translated in French Identification of French-speaking patients at point of entry 55 staff from across the hospital identified as French speaking Senior team and board have French speaking representation Dedicated French speaking settlement worker available French speaking volunteers available Hiring dedicated FLS Coordinator Francophone community engagement Participated in information fair on November 6 Partnering with the Brampton Civic Hospital on hospital specific engagement activities. Participating in engagement activities at the LHIN level. FLS integration/coordination Reviewed survey on Profile of Francophones and Francophone Needs. Share best practices with other identified HSPs in LHIN meetings.
