5 Our ONLINE MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) prepares the next generation of business leaders in a flexible, online format. New students are able to enroll during six start terms every year, providing plenty of opportunities to continue their educations and advance their careers. Our students are able to complete their MBA in one to two years. The Wheeling Jesuit MBA was the first graduate business program to be offered in our region and is taught by experienced business leaders. In addition to core business classes, MBA students also have room in their schedule for three elective courses providing space for students to specialize. wju.edu 5

7 Wheeling Jesuit University s online education programs PREPARE EDUCATORS FOR A VARIETY OF INSTRUCTIONAL AND LEADERSHIP POSITIONS in schools. The online ACCELERATED CERTIFICATION FOR TEACHING program leads to certification in Biology, Chemistry, English, General Science, Social Science/History, and Special Education/Multi-Categorical. Students receive individualized programs of study based on their academic backgrounds and state certification requirements. The MASTER OF EDUCATION LEADERSHIP is also offered online with two tracks: School and System Leadership (leading to licensure for principals, curriculum supervisors, and superintendents), and Instructional Leadership (preparing teachers for additional leadership responsibilities in their classrooms and schools). 9 The MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING is offered online and has three tracks NURSING ADMISTRATION, NURSING EDUCATION SPECIALIST, AND FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER. Students who have already earned a master s degree in nursing are able to complete a POST-MASTER S NURSING CERTIFICATE in one of these three tracks. The SECOND DEGREE NURSING program is offered on-campus and allows students who have completed a bachelor s degree in a field other than nursing to complete their BSN in 18 months. Our ONLINE RN TO BSN DEGREE allows licensed nurses with diplomas or associate degrees in nursing to complete their BSN. Students are given academic credit for completed nursing courses with an addition of liberal arts and nursing courses, culminating in a BSN degree based on the AACN Baccalaureate Essentials. Wheeling Jesuit s DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY combines stateof-the-art facilities with small classes. The WJU DPT program uses a problem-based learning curriculum and offers hands-on service and research opportunities. wju.edu 9
