Request that your final HS transcripts/ged scores and College transcripts are sent to Ohio University Chillicothe Campus. (OU Applications will not be processed until transcripts are received.) 3. Have a minimum college GPA of 2.75; nursing programs are academically based, Ohio University nursing programs do not wait list students. 9. 5 Ohio University ADN Program Admission Assessment Exam (A²) You will be tested over 11 areas o Students must have a cumulative score of 75% on the exam, and a 75% or higher in the following areas: English Language Composite Score and Math Score. To test, you will purchase your Exam Voucher in Student Services at OUC and schedule your exam with the OUC testing center. The booklet is designed to prepare you for the A2 test. You may test one time per review period. Evolve research has shown that students achieving a 75% or greater have an increased probability of success in the nursing program and on the NCLEX state boards. 7 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Ohio University Associate Degree Nursing Program ALL requested information must be in the Nursing Office by deadlines listed below* of the year in which you want your file to be reviewed (considered) by the selection committee. 1. Complete an application to Ohio University-Chillicothe and submit along with the $20 nonrefundable application fee. 2. Submit Official high school transcript or if applicable official GED scores 3. Submit Official transcripts from all previous college courses and from all vocational/technical programs. 4. Submit an official ACT test scores (required for students who enter Ohio University directly out of high school). Students who have been out of high school for more than a full calendar year are exempt from taking the ACT or SAT. 5. Submit to the nursing office a statement of educational and career goals/essay (typed no more than 500 words). This is your opportunity to introduce yourself to the selection committee and explain why you want to be a nurse and your professional goals after you graduate. 6. Graduate of high school or hold the certificate of High School Equivalency (GED) A high school 3.0 grade point average on a 4 point scale is expected or an established college grade point average of not less than 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. 7. The applicant must have completed courses in algebra, biology and chemistry at the high school and/or college level with a minimum grade of C in each course before the deadline. 8. Admission Assessment Exam (A²) must be taken before the deadline, receiving a score of a 75% or better cumulatively and a 75% or better on the English Language and Math sections. 9. Complete BCI/FBI background checks (Can be purchased in OUC Student Services and completed in the nursing office). 10. All students are required to take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test. To schedule, contact the Testing Center, *Deadline for admission to be eligible for selections: Associate Degree Nursing Program October 1 st (Spring Start) LPN to RN Transition Program February 15 th (Summer Start) Please Note: Admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program is by a selective process. Admission to Ohio University does not guarantee admission to the Nursing Program. The selection process for the Nursing Program at Chillicothe, Southern, and Zanesville Campuses are separate. Therefore, admission into one program does not guarantee admission into another program. Advanced Placement for Licensed Practical Nurses Graduates of approved schools of practical nursing who have met licensure requirements may be granted advanced placement. Advanced placement has no bearing upon admission to the nursing program. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) wishing to enter the Associate Degree Nursing Program must follow the above admission criteria. Students must also complete: Chem 1210, Psy 1010, Bios 1300, Bios 1310, and Eng 1510 before selection into the Advanced Placement program be reviewed.

11 Fee Descriptions Tuition-Related Fees Instructional Fee: This required fee covers costs associated with instruction and is a component of tuition. General Fee: The general fee is a required component of tuition, and it provides funding for non-instructional student services. The fee is charged to every student who is enrolled in at least one class. The services and activities supported by the fee promote students' emotional and physical well-being, as well as their cultural and social development outside the classroom. Non-Resident Surcharge: This required fee applies to all students who do not qualify for Ohio residency. It is used to fund those instructional costs the state pays for on behalf of qualifying Ohio residents. Program Fee: The program fee is a required component of tuition. This fee is program-specific, and it provides funding for educational components of the program. Consult with the program director for additional information. Specialized Services and Materials Fee: This required fee is program-specific, and it provides funding for specialized materials and services.
