1 Nevada State Board of NURSING AGENDA FOR REGULAR BOARD MEETING May 18-20, 2011 Tuscany Suites 255 East Flamingo Road Las Vegas, NV The Board meeting will commence at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, continuing at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 and Friday, May 20, Public Comment will be between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday and between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. This is the tentative schedule for the meeting. The Board reserves the right to take items in a different order to accomplish business in the most efficient manner. Persons who have business before the NEVADA STATE BOARD OF NURSING are responsible to see that they are in attendance at the time such business transpires. The mission of the Nevada State Board of Nursing is to protect the public's health, safety and welfare through effective regulation of nursing. Public Comment Procedure: 1. Time limit: 30 minutes just prior to commencement of business meeting; 2. Those individuals wishing to present concerns to the Board are to sign in prior to speaking; 3. Depending on the number of individuals wishing to address the Board, a time limit for each may be set; 4. If no one appears to speak, the Board will proceed with their regular business meeting; 5. Action will not be taken on any issues presented during the Public Comment period. Anyone desiring additional information regarding the meeting is invited to call the Board office at (775) Per NRS , persons/facilities desiring copies of the Board of Nursing agenda must submit their request in writing every six months. Check the address label for this agenda for expiration date. It is possible that an amended agenda, adding new items to the original agenda, will be published for any Board meeting. Amended notices will be posted in accordance with the Open Meeting Law; however, they will not be mailed to individuals on the Board's mailing list.
