ACE Star Model of Kowledge Trasformatio The curriculum of the Summer Istitute o EBP is orgaized aroud the ACE Star Model of Kowledge Trasformatio (Steves, 2004). The model depicts relatioships betwee various forms of kowledge, as ewly-discovered research evidece is moved through several stages ad ito practice. This model is easily commuicated ad clearly coveys the essece of evidece-based practice. It melds ito a whole, established cocepts ad ew cocepts of improvig care, providig a framework for systematically puttig EBP processes ito operatio. Cofigured as a simple 5-poit star, the model illustrates five major stages of kowledge trasformatio: 1) kowledge discovery (research), 2) evidece summary, 3) traslatio ito practice recommedatios, 4) itegratio ito practice, ad 5) evaluatio.
