1 South Dakota Board of Nursing Assistant Training Application Form Organization/Agency Name: Name of Course Provider: Requirement: EduCare by Mirabelle Management, LLC administration may be delegated only to those individuals who have successfully completed a training program pursuant to. Use this form to document the completion of the Assistant Training course provided by EduCare. The courses, learning games, and tests are facilitated by a Registered Nurse online with reference books suggested for review and reading. The online Learning Management System tracks course progress and performance. It is the responsibility of the RN for each organization to supervise the training and verify and document knowledge via the discussion worksheets that follow each course and the online tests. Additionally, the RN must verify skills via demonstrative skill assessments in the 4-hour laboratory session. Please print the EduCare transcript and attach to this form for verification. Requirement Nursing delegation in the Nurse Practice Act & role of UAP (Unlicensed Assistive Personnel) Medical References Unit #1: Nursing Delegation and Understand the role of an Unlicensed Assistive 25 the UAP Role Person in medication administration. Have basic knowledge of the Nurse Practices Act and the criteria for nurse delegation and judgment. State supervision and training requirements for UAPs. Know the difference between nursing tasks that Unit #2: Overview of Medical Terminology can be delegated and those that cannot. Understand the foundation of words and how to break them apart to understand their meaning. Know the difference between a prefix and suffix and their importance in building words. Learn commonly used medical terminology and acronyms. 45
