The remarkable performance by the CMA students stands tes mony to the rapid progress made by the Ins tute in this front and has once again established the Ins tute of Cost Accountants of India as the preferred choice for recruiters. Apart from usual drives, this year we have introduced several innova ve ways of placement ac vi es across India to facilitate the newly pass out CMA students, experienced CMAs and Intermediate CMA students with lucra ve job opportuni es. Successful conduct of Orienta on Programs and Career Development Programs across India helped students a lot to make themselves industry-friendly and market-ready. I express my hear elt gra tude to our regular recruiters who have con nuously put their faith in the me le of our students and have furthered their associa on with us for another year to facilitate this mutually beneficial rela onship. I am also grateful to our new recruiters, who have acknowledged the poten al of our students and provided them with a plethora of professional opportuni es. I appreciate the contribu on of the en re team of the Ins tute for their sustained and persistent assistance in the rigorous placement process. 5 Overview December 2017 Term 650 Participants 240 Newly Qualified CMAs Selected The Ins tute organized campus placement drive in four regions for December 2017 batch consecu vely at Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata. A phenomenal response from the recruiters has been found this me and most of the qualified CMAs are placed through this placement ini a ve of the Ins tute. Overall 40 companies visited the campus for the Drive. This year 650 newly qualified CMAs appeared for placement interview and 240 students offered a job. This year, companies like GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, POSOCO, Vedanta, Accenture, HUL, Reliance Industries Ltd., Nestle, Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, ITC Ltd - Food, ITC Ltd (Internal Audit), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), Peerless Securi es, NLC India ltd., KPMG, ITC Limited - Lifestyle Retailing Business, Saint- Gobain, RSM Astute, Wipro, Sundaram - Clayton Limited, Sundaram - Finance, Prism Cement, RSM Astute, ART Affordable Housing Finance, Tax Connect, Berger Paints, YES Bank, GST Suvidha, Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited, IRC Group, NIS Management Pvt Ltd, J K Paper Limited and others par cipated in the campus placement drive. This term, companies like ITC, Larsen & Toubro, NBCC, PWC, CPCC, Vedanta, Tata Group, Delloite, Genpact and others par cipated in the drive. This year 474 newly qualified CMAs appeared for placement interview. Around 40% of the candidates appeared were selected by placement interview. Average CTC 6.35LPA 30 Recruiters 6
