Submit proposal paperwork 6-8 weeks prior to expecting a Proposal interview in front of the Gold Award Committee. Committee meets once per month. 10 10 Dear Gold Award Project Advisor, The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve. The award consists of developing, initiating, and completing a Take Action Project. A Take Action Project offers a sustainable solution to a community issue or problem while addressing the root cause of the issue. Girls can develop sustainable Take Action Projects by educating or informing others in the community about their project and/or by partnering with local organizations or schools to ensure the project lasts after the girl s involvement ends. Upon completion of her project, the girl will have utilized all of the fifteen outcomes of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Girls feel connected to their community, locally and globally. Girls seek challenges in the world. Girls develop critical thinking. Girls develop a strong sense of self. Girls can identify community needs. Girls develop healthy relationships.
