2 TRANSATLANTIC TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER INITIATIVE (TTTI) In 2012, Chemie-Cluster Bayern and its partner clusters in the United States, France and Germany have asked industrial key players from aeronautics, construction sector and shipbuilding industry to challenge chemical R&D. Challenge statements cover aspects of New Materials Green surface technology Use of renewable resources Recycling technologies The most promising solution providers join a network designed to answer the challenges given by industry. Industry representatives will discuss concrete projects with researchers and SME representatives in workshop sessions or individual interviews. BOEING S COMMITMENT Chemical innovations in terms to intelligent surface treatment, functional materials, chemical fibres etc. provide a fundamental contribution to the construction of better airplanes. This is why Boeing supports Chemie-Clusters Bayerns TTTI: Boeing s R&D experts have chosen some topics of most current interest an invite a delegation of cluster partners to Seattle in order to answer their challenge statements. 3 THE PROGRAM IN SEATTLE 1 st day Arrival at Seattle 2 nd day Technology Transfer Workshop 9:00 am Registration and welcome by Boeing 9:30 am Introduction by Boeing and Chemie-Cluster Bayern 10:15 am Presentation of the challenge statements and showcase missions by Boeing Key notes by members of the delegation 12:15 pm Networking lunch 1:30 pm Introduction into the workshop sessions by Boeing and Chemie-Cluster Bayern 1:45 pm Parallel workshops sessions Workshops will cover a product related vision presented by Boeing, presentations of participants technologies and the joint creation of a mission statement by the workshop team. Topics discussed will be subject to an NDA. Boeing s responsible R&D managers will lead the workshop teams and try to challenge participants know-how. During Workshops: Coffee Break (3:00 pm) Creating a mission statement (4:00 pm) 4:30 pm Presentation of mission statements to a Boeing jury 5:15 pm Wrap-up 3 rd day Visit of the production site, guided tour Departure to Munich The date of the workshop will be chosen due to the availability of participants.
