1 Fellows All-Star Team Advisory Program The California Life Sciences Institute (CLSI) is pleased to offer the Fellows All-Star Team (FAST) Advisory Program, a team-based business advising program that connects qualified startups with the strength and experience of the world's leading life sciences cluster. The program draws on a high-level team of advisors to provide experience, contacts and counsel to qualified applicants, and is made possible through the generous support of our program sponsors Abbvie and Bayer. FAST Sponsors Program Sponsors Open to CLSA Fellows, the FAST Advisory Program provides the selected entrepreneurs with intensive team review and coaching to perfect their business model, product development plans, and to build a compelling commercialization strategy. Experienced entrepreneurs along with product and business development experts (which may include product and clinical development, marketing, communications, corporate law, IP, financial, regulatory, reimbursement and business development specialists) will advise the selected Fellows in ten to twelve weekly group meetings, culminating in a final FAST Showcase before a broad audience that includes potential investors and partners. 2 Fall 2016 Program Timeline We evaluate submissions on a rolling basis. However, we must receive your application for the spring 2016 session no later than July 17, 2016 July 26, Presentations to reviewers (A chosen subset of FAST applicants will present to the FAST Review Panel, who will evaluate entrants and help select the FAST companies) August 10, FAST fall 2016 participants announced September 13, 2016* - FAST Opening Showcase (Fall 2015 FAST entrepreneurs will kick off the program by presenting their companies to FAST advisory team members and program supporters) September 19 through December 2, Weekly meetings between advisory teams and FAST participants December 6 or 8 (TBD), 2016* - Final FAST Showcase *FAST participants must be present on these dates FAST Advisory Program Commitment Fellows who apply and are selected to participate in the FAST Advisory Program must agree to participate in all aspects of the program, including the applicant review session, Opening Showcase, Closing Showcase and weekly FAST Advisory meetings. Selected candidates must also commit to an active graduate participation program. Now in its third year of operation, the FAST program has generated over 2900 advisory hours valued at over $730,000 for the 29 companies who have been through the program. Since participating in FAST, these companies have raised over $97 million and more than doubled their workforce.

3 Previous participants say that the FAST program has been extremely valuable in analyzing their technology and commercial potential, identifying funding and partnering opportunities, and expanding their network of industry professionals.
