3 ROSCONGRESS FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL EVENTS In the context of a rapidly changing economic and political environment, open and honest dialogue between governments and business communities throughout the world takes on particular importance. The Roscongress Foundation organizes events that provide a professional, high-quality platform for this kind of dialogue. Every year, the Foundation runs a series of outreach events aimed at maintaining cooperation between Russian and foreign officials, business communities, and academia, thereby making an important contribution to addressing current issues in the Russian and global economies. 4 ST. PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM 2019 St. Petersburg EVERY YEAR SPIEF is a leading international platform for discussion of the key issues on the global economic agenda. The key objective of the is to serve as a practical tool for developing business through mutually beneficial dialogue between Russia and the international community. The is held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation and is attended by the heads of foreign states and governments, leading Russian and foreign business executives, and journalists from the world s biggest media outlets. 17,000 participants 143 countries 900 heads of Russian and international companies 4,081 journalists from global media outlets 593 signed agreements with a total value of over RUB trillion (2018 data)

5 INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CONGRESS June, St. Petersburg EVERY YEAR A key platform for the discussion of current issues in the finance sector, monetary policies, and economic development. The International Financial Congress is run by the Bank of Russia. 6 INTERNATIONAL FAR EASTERN MARITIME SHOW July, Vladivostok EVERY YEAR In 2018, Primorye Territory will, for the first time, host the International Far Eastern Maritime Show. The event is focused on developing the shipbuilding cluster and related sectors in Russia s Far East and integrating it into the Asia Pacific shipbuilding. Russian and foreign public officials, heads of Russian regions and of major corporations, preeminent experts and representatives of leading media outlets have been invited. 7 EASTERN ECONOMIC FORUM September, Vladivostok EVERY YEAR The key business event in the Russian Far East, the mission of which is to highlight the economic potential of the region, strengthen links between the international investment community, Russian business, and federal, regional, and local government bodies, and present the new environment for investment and doing business offered by advanced special economic zones. The aims to consolidate and develop cooperation among female leaders for addressing urgent problems and strengthening the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding in the world based on universal values of humanism, rights and dignity. Organizers are the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of The Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS). The aims to unite the efforts of international organizations, government agencies, and the scientific and business communities in Russia and abroad in pursuit of the best solutions for ensuring the sustainable development of the Arctic and improving the quality of life in Arctic regions.
