2 The Key to Telemetry: Knowing the Ideal Soil Moisture in which to Irrigate Joseph Henggeler Time Period: 1/1/ /31/2011 Cotton Inc Amount: $16,400 In the past, tension meters were difficult to use on farms as they had to have water added regularly and an analog gauge read manually. This required several trips to the field per week in dry conditions. Electronic tension meters and affordable wireless data transfer systems are now making tension meters a practical tool to help producers make irrigation decisions, but it is important to know at what depth in the soil a particular soil tension cab be used to trigger an irrigation. The Rapid Response Project: Missouri s ASD Roadmap Jo Britt-Rankin Dept of Health and Human Services Amount: $640 Through this funding and a significant donation of time, Extension will aid MU s Thompson Center with a program that improves services for children and youth with autism.
