10 Grant Guidelines Project Performance Period. Small and Large Grant: Start within 6 months and completed within 2 years after notification of grant Legacy Grant: Start within 6 months and be completed within 3 years after notification of grant Eligible Applicants. Non-profit 501(c) organizations; local government; and academic/educational institutions. For-profit entities are not eligible for grants under this RFP, but may partner with eligible applicants

11 Grant Guidelines Match Small Grant: Inkind and/or cash match encouraged Large Grant: Inkind and/or cash match encouraged at 1:1 or greater Legacy Grant: Inkind and/or cash match required at 2:1

12 Grant Guidelines Quality Assurance: If a project involves significant monitoring, data collection or data use, applicants prepare QA QC narrative. Grantees will be asked to prepare an QA QC Project Plan for GCEF approval

13 Grant Guidelines Ineligible X Pure research, capital campaigns; creation of endowments; event sponsorships; and projects for regranting purposes X Political advocacy, lobbying, boycotts, litigation expenses X Project(s) of ExxonMobil, or others that are the result of legally mandated action(s) under local, state, or federal law and/or associated with administrative permit conditions or terms of settlement agreements X Cover or reimburse costs the State would incur during the normal course of business

18 EASYGRANTS MAPPING TOOL Upload an existing shapefile of project area(s) into Easygrants (if you do not have a shapefile of the project area(s) refer to Option 3) Select by Geography (Not relevant to Greenpoint) Draw a custom area (examples on slides 3 and 4) Find the project area using the search feature or use the drag and zoom tool on the map Once the project area is found on the map, start to draw a shape around the project area by selecting a tool (freehand or lines). If you are satisfied with the polygon, add title, save, and submit project location. If you are not satisfied, click the x and you can start over. You can also double click an area to create a point.
