This guide is designed to help you take full advantage of the services, facilities and opportunities we have placed at your disposal. We are more than ever committed to improving and extending the services available to our entrepreneurs in order to make their stay comfortable and to support them in their business growth. It is important to realize we are not just maintaining and improving a physical infrastructure for the companies hosted in Berytech. Our challenge is to ensure we engage everyone in our processes, events, forums, networking and opportunities and allow you to use these as a springboard for new business breakthroughs. This will be the most important aspect of how we ll continue working with the community of Berytech during the coming year. We greatly value the opinions and suggestions of our tenants as it provides focus for our continuous efforts to offer exceptional entrepreneurial support and hosting services. 5 B. ACCESS RIGHTS 1. Access to building The pole is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM, except for week-ends and national holidays. However private office spaces are accessible 24/7. Technical services such as A/C, lighting in the underground, etc. are shut down after hours starting 8:00 PM; on weekends - starting 1:00 PM Saturdayand on national holidays. 2. National holidays The administration is closed on the following holidays in accordance with the official calendar. New Year's Day Christmas Day Christmas Day - Armenian Orthodox Achoura St. Maroun's Day Prophet Mohammad's Birthday Good Friday - Western Easter - Western Good Friday - Eastern Easter - Eastern Labor Day Assumption Day Eid Al-Fitr Independence Day Eid Al-Adha Hijri New Year Berytech reserves the right to keep operating on chosen holidays. When a substantial number of companies (30%+) are open for business on any given National Holiday during a week-day, Berytech will keep the technical services on (Air Conditioning/Underground Lighting, etc.), the cleaning staff present and the cafeteria operating. 3. Welcome desk Our welcome hostess is available at the Welcome Desk on the ground floor Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM till 4:30 PM, except for week-ends and national holidays. She greets and announces visitors to resident companies. 4. Keys Upon entry to Berytech Technological Pole, each tenant receives a set of original keys of the premises he/she will be occupying. The number of keys is commensurate with the number of rooms constituting the private office space. Any key loss must be immediately reported to management in order to take precautionary measures. Supply of additional keys or a lock change must be done 5
6 by management and the cost must be borne by tenant. Additional key or card will be at the charge of the person requesting this key. Please note that the administration/ security are not authorized to unlock doors of tenants in case of missing keys. 5. List of persons authorized to enter the pole A list of staff/ team members must be updated on monthly basis. Each enterprise must revise the list of its employees and present it to the administration. 6. Underground Parking A quota of 1 space /60 sqm is observed. Drivers with access to the underground parking must have an Access and an ID card issued by administration. The ID card will contain the name, car model and number and telephone number of the user. Drivers must park within the marked area they have been assigned and keep the ID card visible at all times for security control. They must follow the appropriate arrows to enter and exit from the parking. Authorization to enter the parking will be withdrawn for drivers who do not follow these rules. The cost of replacing any lost Access Card shall be borne by the user. 7. Staff members and Visitor s parking Staff members and visitors can park in Berytech s outdoor parking spaces situated north/east of the building. It is also allowed to park in the street in front of the center. Kindly refrain from parking in areas restricted for USJ. Staff members shall be issued ID cards which must be kept visible in the car at all times for security control. Kindly contact our office administrator to issue a parking card. It is strictly forbidden to park in any other than the mentioned places above. 8. Switchboard & Courier a. Switchboard: The switchboard is managed by the Welcome Hostess Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM till 4:30PM, except on week-ends and national holidays. The operator transfers callers to appropriate extensions, fields general queries and takes messages. Callers can also contact correspondents directly at all times or outside switchboard operation hours by keying in the appropriate extension number. We recommend you provide your extension number to all potential callers. b. Courier: Courier is collected from the Post Office Box twice a week and entrusted to the Welcome Desk Hostess. She will contact you to collect your courier when applicable. Please indicate the following address for your mail deliveries: 6

No Smoking In line with international standards, Berytech promotes a health-focused community therefore a non-smoking policy applies to all indoor spaces, private or public (offices, halls, meeting rooms, etc.). We remind you that smokers have to stay away from building entrances and smoke outside the premises of Berytech. 7
8 C. BUSINESS SERVICES & FACILITIES 1. Counseling, Training & Expertise An expert team in the fields of marketing, law, tax, accounting, finance, communication, recruitment, management, quality, or technology is at the disposal of incubatees and SMEs. At the end of each mission, an evaluation form is submitted to the client to measure satisfaction. Please contact the administration for your requests. 2. Administrative Services: Administration is open from 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM. Resident companies have access to a fax (within the administration offices on the 1 st floor) and a photocopy machine on the incubator level. Resident companies are assigned personal codes upon request to use these machines. Should you need international access in the office, a deposit should be paid to administration. We recommend you keep your code private. Please submit your code requests to administration. Fax Berytech is or ext Conference Facilities & Meeting Rooms Berytech places its training and conferencing facilities at the disposal of private enterprises, professional trainers and NGOs. Our training facilities conference rooms, training rooms and mini-auditorium are fully equipped and feature: plasma screens, LCD projectors, sound systems and microphones, smart boards, flipcharts and internet access (WIFI). Our premises can accommodate varying audience sizes allowing the best environment for an efficient, comfortable and successful event. These rooms can be used to conduct the following: Meetings Conferences Seminars Training Certification Product Demo Etc. a. Description A hall for informal meetings is available on garden level across the cafeteria. This area is also used for different gatherings, exhibitions and events. 8
9 Meeting rooms accommodating 6 to 10 participants (Rooms III & IV) are at the disposal of resident companies at all times. Executive meeting room accommodating up to 16 participants can be rented for half-days or full days. Videoconference facility: ISDN based videoconferencing is available in a miniauditorium format and can host up to 35 participants. State-of-the-art equipment allows participants to interact at any time by a simple touch of a button; mounted cameras film the entire auditorium or can zoom in automatically on speakers. Enjoy the video display of two high-resolution plasma screens that produce highquality video images. Optional multipoint conferencing and a whole network of worldwide brokers in Canada, USA, Australia, Europe and the Gulf allow you to interact seamlessly with any point in the world. Laptops, sound-proof translation booths, WIFI and Internet access for participants are also part of our standard offer. This facility is also used for conventional trainings and conferences. PC Training: Our mini-auditorium can also be equipped with state of the art laptop PCs for PC-based training. This facility is Wi-Fi enabled and features: LCD projector, sound system and microphones, smart board and flipchart responding to all training needs. b. Reservation Room reservation needs to be carried out with the welcome desk at your earliest convenience. The room can be set according to your special requirements. A catering service for coffee breaks, business buffets or cocktails can be arranged through the cafeteria. (Please find enclosed at the end of this guide renting fees of meeting rooms) Kindly refer to the security agent for access to meeting rooms on weekends, national holidays and after-hours. 4. Animation The pole organizes regularly animated events or business gatherings such as power breakfasts, lunch debates, conferences and workshops. We welcome any suggestions about debates, themes or topics you would like to promote. 5. Connectivity Berytech is equipped with fast, continuous bandwidth available via terrestrial, microwave and satellite technologies. A free Wi-Fi Internet access allows visitors and residents to enjoy connectivity in common areas and work outside their office space. To obtain the Wi-Fi access code, kindly contact IT Support or administration. Intranet allows all hosted companies to communicate internally and benefit from swift information exchange. Thanks to an internal telephone network, all resident 9
10 companies communicate internally among each other and with the administration, enhancing the sense of community and promoting synergies. 6. Restaurant, Cafeteria & Food Court The restaurant is used for special functions and by invitation. The cafeteria is situated on garden level of Berytech. It serves a choice of daily specials and sandwiches. It can also cater for any event you organize. For your requests, please dial the cafeteria on the extension A food court is available on the incubator level for all community members. 7. Access to gym Berytech tenants have access to the Campus gym. The gym is equipped with fitness machines and hot Showers for both men and women, and is located in the building across Berytech. For more information, please contact the administration. 8. Access to the library A library is set with over 150 books and different subjects like management, finance, economy, marketing, statistics, etc For your requests please contact administration. 9. Tenant s section on Berytech website To be able to login to this page, each tenant should have a username and password issued by IT administrator. In this section the tenant will be able to: a. Search for CVs: the search can be done by field of work, highest level of education or by name. b. Post job vacancies: Visitors can search for available jobs submitted by Berytech tenants through the Job Seekers section. c. Edit your company page: in this section each tenant can change/ add or remove information related to his company. d. Berytech extensions: all Mar Roukoz companies extensions are shown in a table. e. BTH extensions: all Mathaf companies extensions are also shown in a table. f. Library: a list of books available in administration office is posted; tenants can choose among these books to borrow. g. CV Bank: all candidates CVs are posted in this division.tenants can browse it as well. h. Update your profile: this part is for candidates who want to modify their CV. 10

12 Conditions: Above prices are subject to VAT. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM (GMT+2). They exclude week-ends and national holidays. Room fees payment should be settled by cash/check, by credit card or by bank wire 4 days prior to the reservation. Cancellation fees are 25% within 3 business days, 50% within 2 business days, and 100% within 24 hours. No reservation fees.
