9 Transportation Shuttle VANTAGE provides a shuttle to/from MHS Morning Strands Depart 7:30 AM Return 9:45 AM Return 10:45 AM Afternoon Strands Depart 11:40 AM Depart 12:45 PM Return 2:45 PM Afternoon Strand returns the students directly home or back to the high school for sports

10 Transportation Parking 1. VANTAGE students do not get priority 2. Permits are issued via a lottery system 3. The lottery system is based on the number of licensed drivers in a carpool a. The bigger the carpool, the more likely you are to to get permit 4. Drivers should plan to partner with those in the same VANTAGE strand. MHS does not split permits. 5. Parking available at both VANTAGE location.

14 Database Submissions Student project teams utilize primary research methodologies in their project work. Each VANTAGE student is required to recruit 20 adults that are willing to have their names entered into the VANTAGE research database. Database members will be asked to participate in at least one survey, focus group and/or interview during the school year. Students must submit names by May 15, A link to the database form will be sent as a follow-up to this meeting

15 Forms Required VANTAGE Forms: 1. VANTAGE Electronic Communication and Texting Student Permission Form 2. Transportation Form Must be completed by May 15, 2018

17 Mentor Program Each VANTAGE student is paired with a mentor for the year Mentors and students communicate monthly about current priorities Mentees are coached on various topics: Work world expectations Organizational culture Team projects Who can be a mentor? Communications Career exploration How to be successful You! Please provide 1 other name if you are able to be a mentor. If not, please provide 2 names: age/business-partners/mentor

19 Project Partners Project partners are the highest involvement (and highest reward!) partner roles at VANTAGE Partners work with a team over a semester on any challenge Start-ups, small businesses, non-profits, huge corporations, web-based businesses - everyone can benefit Each strand does different kinds of projects (videos, marketing, customer analysis, big data analysis, human behavior research, food and environmental research) We need leads! If you could talk to anyone who might benefit from a student team and make an intro we would be grateful Our partners have a great experience
