3 Page 3 WDA National IPO & FH Championship (May 1 to 3, 2015): The WDA National IPO Championship is scheduled for May 1 to 3, 2015, at Fayetteville, Arkansas. This is the first of two qualification events in which a Dog/Handler team must participate, if they wish to be considered by the WDA for the team that will represent the United States at the 2015 WUSV World Championship. (The second qualification event is the June 6 to 7, 2015 W USV Joint Qualification Trial. See below for details.) All levels of IPO titles and BH degrees will be offered at this event for German Shepherd Dogs. All dogs with an IPO3/Schutzhund 3 degree are invited to compete for consideration on the WUSV United States Team. NO MINIMUM QUALIFYING SCORES are required for entry into any part of this event. Wendell Nope (SVF, DPO and WDA Judge) will judge Phase A of the IPO and FH Championship. Ferdinand Diermayr (SV Judge) will judge Phases B and C of the IPO Championship. Mark Torrence and Rory Kennedy (both WDA-Certified National Level Helpers) will work this event. John Henkel is the event chair. 4 Hundegram Page 4 WUSV North American Sieger Show/Breed Survey (October 1 to 4, 2015): The WUSV North American Sieger Show ( NASS ) and Breed Survey will be held in Fairfax County, Virginia, from October 1 to 4, Henning Setzer and Marco Oßmann (SV Judges) will judge this event. Please visit the WDA website, for further event details. SV REMOVES MIKE WEST AS AN SVF JUDGE On December 3, 2014, the SV removed Mike West as an SVF Judge. His removal was based on the following reasons: (1) Mike West was no longer a WDA Judge; (2) Mike West was no longer a WDA Member; and (3) Membership in the WDA, the WUSV Club that sponsored him for his SVF license, is a prerequisite to be an SV Foreign Judge. The WDA wishes to remind the WDA membership that all titles (such as AD, BH, IPO, FH, etc.) that are awarded by non-sv recognized judges will not be recognized by the SV. Make certain that the events into which you and your dogs are entered are officiated by SV-recognized judges, if you wish (a) to have the titles earned by your dogs to be breed survey eligible or (2) to have your dog qualify for advancement to a higher performance degree. Here is a copy of the December 3, 2014 SV letter to Mike West for your reference, together with translation: Dear Mr. West, We have been informed by the WDA that you are no longer a Member and Judge of the WDA. We point out to you that membership in the respective WUSV Club is a prerequisite to be an SV Foreign Judge and to be listed as such on our (SV) Judges list. For this reason you have been removed from the SV Foreign Judge list and we ask you to return your (SVF) Judges Card. We wish you all the best in your future and much joy in your future involvement with the German Shepherd Dog. Friendly Regards, Hartmut Setecki
