Decisions in regard to Bihar State: 3.1 It was informed to the Committee that in Bihar State, Tribal Research Institute does not exist as on date. The Committee suggested the representative of the State as follows: Quickly identify land for construction of TRI Building. (ii) Initiate functioning of TRI in an existing Government building / accommodation temporarily till such time the dedicated building is constructed. (iii) Nominate an officer from Tribal Welfare Department as Director, TRI with supporting staff and thereafter submit proposals for research studies, documentation, development of language primer etc. for funding. 4. Decisions in regard to Uttar pradesh State: The representative of the state informed the committee that the activities approved by MoTA during to the tune of Rs lakh have not yet been completed. He further requested to revive the activities with slight modifications and sought permission of the committee to allow the TRI to utilize the funds in the financial year 201g-lg.
