1 Second National Sports Meet September 7-8, 2013 Day 1 Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur organized Second National Sports Meet 2013 on September 7-8, The highlight of this sports meet is the enthusiastic participation from Girls and teams from all over the country as far as Tamil Nadu. The Chief Guest of this Sports Meet was Padamshri Limba Ram Indian Archer, Olympic Athlete India. The day 1 of the Sports Meet on September 7, 2013 commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished dignitaries.

2 The various teams marched past followed by singing of the National Anthem. The games were then declared open by the Chief Guest. Padamshri Limba Ram addressed the students gathering of around 900 that had come from all over the nation. He said Sport is such an activity which paves the path and gives crucial lessons for life. He said one should possess confidence, discipline, unity, humility and finally Spiritual power which are the base of successful life. He then emphasized that if a person from village can be an International player through hard work and determination, today s youth can reach this ladder at a very fast pace as they are a quite privileged in each and every sense. Lastly he reiterated that obedience is the key determinant to success.

3 The sports meet had 15 events comprising of traditional games (Volley Ball, Chess, Carrom, Kho Kho, and Short put), popular games (Badminton, Cricket, Table Tennis) and fun games (Lemon Race, Tie knot, Sack Race). A total of 900 students from 47 different Institutes across the country participated in the meet namely Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, Indore, Bangalore, Gwalior and farthest from Tamil Nadu along with Institutes from Jaipur and Rajasthan. 5 Director Dr. Prabhat Pankaj in his address said that management education is incomplete without sports. Sport is the need of the hour and Sportsmanship is the quality to be imbibed for success in life. He said that sportsman is about knowing that win or lose you will always walk off with pride and he thanked all the teams for participating and making this event a success. The coordinator of the sports meets Prof. Lokesh Vijayvargy and the Dean (Student Affairs) Dr. Abhijit Nair encouraged all the teams to keep their spirits high & sportingly enjoy the two day event.
