7 What is a Master lan? The purpose of the Master lan is to promote and facilitate coordinated development between the City of Bend and OSU- Cascades. Master plans provide a process to consider future development on larger sites and to analyze future demand on public facilities. Master plans provide an opportunity for innovative and creative development while providing long-term predictability for the applicants, surrounding neighborhoods, and the entire community. 15 Campus Development Concept The campus is expanded from the existing site and organized into four main districts: Core Campus Innovation District Residential District Recreation District The campus districts are connected by an open space spine along which people will travel and interact The campus will be permeable and connected to the community with trails and streets OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY 15
