7 ABOUT THE U.S. ARMY WOMEN S FOUNDATION As our nation participates in Women s History Month in March, the U.S. Army Women s Foundation commemorates and celebrates the service, accomplishments, and sacrifices of Army women by hosting an annual Summit and Hall of Fame Reception. These events place the AWF at the forefront of the issues and opportunities impacting U.S. Army women. Event participants interact and partner with an elite cadre of senior military leaders, corporate leaders, opinion leaders, and policy makers. The U.S. Army Women s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The mission of the U.S. Army Women s Foundation is to promote public interest in the Army and recognize and honor the invaluable service of Army women through various programs, research, scholarships, and grants.
