6 Students Say... After countless interviews I went to Career Services. I had recently graduated and could not secure employment. After meeting with my career coach, I learned resume tips and interviewing skills. I interviewed twice after going to Career Services and was offered both positions. I love my new job and coworkers! Denise Kearl, BS Social Work I would strongly advise any student or alum to take advantage of the resources that Career Services provides. From career mentoring to conducting mock interviews to proofing my resume, Career Services has been one of the resources that I have continued to use long after graduation. They have assisted me in fine tuning my career strategy and skills, which contributed to me landing a job with the San Antonio Spurs. Matt Leishman, BS Journalism, Alum My career coach was my cheerleader, my encourager, and my difference maker. My coach always let me know that I was a hot commodity, and that was something that resonated in my interviews. I ended up accepting an offer with an amazing company I never thought was in my potential. If I could go back and change one thing about my experience, I d visit Career Services sooner! Elizabeth Morrell, BS Math/Statistics By utilizing Career Services, I gained an advantage that landed my internship and work with the First Lady s Luncheon in Washington, D.C. and ultimately an exciting job offer. Not only did my career coaches help me polish my resume and practice interview questions, they also calculated different salaries, put me in touch with valuable contacts, and let me use their office to do a phone interview.
