3 Dr. Larry F. Devane, President Redlands President Dr. Larry F. Devane has created a vision for Redlands that includes state of the art technology, varied course and program delivery modes, student focused facilities, numerous public and private education partnerships, and a high standard for competitive athletics. Devane was selected by the American Association of Community Colleges to the International Education Commission. The Commission will be focused on analysis of student access to U.S. Community Colleges and the role of the AACC in partnering with learning access at the associate level in countries developing community colleges. Devane continues to serve on the AACC National Homeland Security Task Force and the task force steering committee. Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international two-year college academic honor society, has recognized Devane for his multiple years of service to PTK s Oklahoma/Arkansas region as a Distinguished Presidential Ambassador. Further, PTK has awarded Devane the Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction. Devane s state and community leadership roles are varied, including serving on the Board of Directors of the El Reno Chamber of Commerce Foundation for Progress, El Reno Federal Corrections Institute Community Advisory Council, Canadian Valley Integris Hospital Board of Directors, Vice President of the Canadian County Greater Oklahoma City Metro United Way, and Coordinator of Leadership Canadian County, as well as past President of the Oklahoma Two-Year Colleges Presidents Association. Devane has served as President of RCC since 1990 and was honored in 2001 by the Redlands Board of Regents with the naming of a campus building, the Larry F. Devane Multi-Media Lifelong Learning Center. He recently was named as the El Reno Citizen of the Year. Prior to coming to RCC, Dr. Devane was President of Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas. 4 WOMEN S BASKETBALL SEASON OUTLOOK The Lady Cougars have several new faces, but many familiar ones returning as well. Their experience is going to greatly help them in conference play, and the newcomers will add depth and a strong post presence. Amanda Coffman, sophomore point guard, will be at the helm with Brandie Sandy, Ashley Davis, and Tiffany Jupin bringing experience to the perimeter play as well. Tabby Bailey, Hannah Weldon, Laney Hamilton, and Lindsey Roberts will also come in to add depth at the guard spots. In the post, experienced players Tara Fleming, Sheirra Bruner, Felicia Simpson, and Ashley Morgan will lead the way, with high expectations for newcomers Kayela Johnson, Alexandria Foster, and Samantha Stout. This is a wonderful group of women who also was ranked ninth in the nation, in both Division I and II, in grade point average with a This group is a class act on and off the oor, and it is a privilege to go to battle with them every time we take the oor. They make me proud, as they do the college and the community of El Reno in the way they represent themselves day in and day out, Tompkins said. It will be a fun and exciting year. 4
5 Laci Tompkins Women s Head Coach Laci Tompkins begins her ninth year as head coach of the Redlands Community College Cougar Women s Basketball Team. Last season Coach Tompkins team got off to a great start of 15-5 before loosing 5

She played for Coach Tomp ins on the ational Tournament team. She went on from Redlands to play at illsdale aptist College where they also went to the ational Tournament. She received her bachelor s degree in social sciences from Hillsdale and received her master s degree in education from the niversity of Central lahoma. Coach Tomp ins is e cited to have her e perience on the oor and e perience as one of her former players to help guide the Lady Cougars. 6 Jeff Tompkins Assistant Coach eff Tomp ins serves the Lady Cougars when at all possible especially in the recruiting arena. He has helped the Lady Cougars for seven years as he has also coached his own teams. He has coached two State Championship Teams in his tenure as well as been named All State Coach of the ear where he coached Sooner standout Taylor rif n and Conference Coach of the ear si times. He was named All Region Coach of the ear in and is currently Head Coach at dmond orth High School and Region Representative for lahoma City ig Schools. He is married to Head Coach Laci Tomp ins in which he has two children Le i and Tiger.
7 Kellie Sanders Assistant Coach ellie Sanders is in her second year at Redlands. She is manager for the Cougars. This will be her second season to wor with the team. She is from arlow lahoma. Bobbie Sandy Assistant Coach obbie Sandy will be a sophomore at Redlands. This will be the second season she has assisted the Lady Cougars bas etball team. She is from erry lahoma. Eli Zucksworth Athletic Trainer Second year Redlands Community College Head Athletic Trainer li uc sworth is responsible for preparing the athletes for both practice and games while treating on site injuries. li is a member of the ational Athletic Trainers Association ATA and the lahoma Athletic Trainers Association. He is a graduate of lahoma State niversity where he earned his bachelor s degree in athletic training. n he received his aster of ducation degree from Southeastern lahoma State niversity. 7
