8 Vision for Nursing and Midwifery Provide quality safe service to all our patients in a dignified manner Develop one single nursing and midwifery workforce Governance framework clearly outlining roles, responsibilities and accountability ensuring the delivery of safe, quality and appropriate care to all patients in the Group Foster a positive atmosphere and culture where staff feel valued, respected, empowered and engaged Focus on the health and wellbeing of all patients and staff Ensure that the Group model of care is underpinned by best available evidence, in line with national standards and legislation
9 End of Life Care is everyone s responsibility Doctor, nurse, receptionist, ward clerk, porter etc. Training is delivered to the multidisciplinary team One of these is Final Journey s programme which is part of mandatory training. How do we know we are delivering a positive experience to patients and their families? - For example the annual remembrance service held on all sites in the group provides an opportunity for staff to engage with bereaved families. They greatly appreciate that the hospitals are acknowledging them at what can be a very difficult time.
