4 Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) supports the mission of the U.S. Air Force through acquisition and product support of cutting-edge weapon systems and solutions for the warfighter. AFLCMC is responsible for designing, developing and delivering the aerospace weapon systems and capabilities that support the U.S. warfighter and our allies. For more than nine decades, AFLCMC and its predecessors have provided the military aviation technologies that have allowed our nation s military to operate safely and effectively when flying into harm s way. 6 Logistics Career Field Logistics management professionals are responsible for providing guidance and support in acquiring, fielding, deploying and planning for all product and service stages. This will include direct responsibility for planning, programming, provisioning, acquiring, distributing and maintaining accountability for our product support elements. As a professional in this field, you will investigate and analyze unusual problems or conflicts in the area of product support, as well as formulate studies to ensure plans are completed successfully. The logistics career field is the largest career field within the Air Force with a workforce of over 45,000 employees. 6

8 Business & Industry Career Field (Program Management) An Air Force Acquisition Program Manager is responsible and accountable for the successful execution of an acquisition program. The scope of their responsibility includes managing projects and/or modifications to a weapon system, being the designated responsible party for managing one or more acquisition programs or designated space or weapon systems throughout the life cycle. The program manager is accountable for credible cost, schedule, and technical performance.. 8

10 PALACE Acquire (PAQ) Program Opportunity for those who have graduated or will graduate by start date Occupies a full-time position Requirements for graduation from program: Three (3) year, formal training plan completion Operational Training Assignment Paid program with yearly promotions upon successful performance Upon completion of the program, the Air Force offers a permanent position at the current duty location or within the servicing major command

11 Basic Qualifications U.S. Citizenship is required Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance Work occasionally requires travel away from duty station Must be willing to voluntarily relocate to the local area and understand the government does not pay for relocation/moving expenses Mobility Agreement The mobility agreement is a signed documented stating that an employee is aware of and agrees to the condition that a position may require relocation during or after completion of PAQ program Bachelors Degree - Business Related Degree and/or 24 Hours of Business Shown Preference; Must have degree in hand by start date; In addition, candidates must meet one of the following: GPA of 2.95 (or better) overall; GPA of 3.45 (or better) in major overall; Two year probationary period 11

13 Security Clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Some possible impediments of obtaining a security clearance may include: Felony convictions; illegal drug usage (may be subject to random drug testing); Adverse financial issues (bankruptcy, loan defaults) or unusual financial activity (unexplained large sums of income cash); Dealings with foreign nationals; Failure to obtain the necessary security clearance will normally result in involuntary separation from government employment. Failure to fully disclose potential adverse information and/or making false statements on security paperwork will normally result in disqualification, immediate termination, and possibly imprisonment and/or financial penalties. 15 Higher Education Tuition Assistance Funding is limited to two courses per term, with a maximum per person limit of $50K* The $50K limit includes both undergraduate and graduate degrees Funding may be provided up to 100% of the cost for tuition, laboratory, and other instructional fees Funding does not cover course material, optional fees, parking, charges for personal services or the costs of student TDY or vicinity travel TA is not guaranteed until the request is approved Individuals who fail to successfully complete a course will reimburse the Air Force for all TA costs for that course Must complete course with a C or better for undergraduate courses and B or better for graduate 15 *Dependent on available funding
