Pathogenic on: Geranium Bananas Pepper, tomato, eggplant, potato : several introductions into the U.S. (holds on 489 nurseries across the country) Occurred in geranium cuttings from production greenhouses outside the U.S.; holds on hundreds of nurseries across the country) Concern for carry-over to potatoes and other solanaceous crops and weeds. NPDN labs processed samples and helped validate protocols. courtesy Natalie Goldberg

19 Sudden Oak Death Ramorum Blight Phytophthora ramorum First identified in 1993 in Europe on Rhododendron and Viburnum a new disease killing tanoak and oak trees observed in California the pathogen was confirmed to be P. ramorum. Natural infections limited to Europe, California and Oregon. Problem in plant nurseries!
