19 Sudden Oak Death Ramorum Blight Phytophthora ramorum First identified in 1993 in Europe on Rhododendron and Viburnum a new disease killing tanoak and oak trees observed in California the pathogen was confirmed to be P. ramorum. Natural infections limited to Europe, California and Oregon. Problem in plant nurseries!
