1 Military Service Name Branch of Service Years Other 1 Albrecht, Terry Army I was drafted on From Butte I took the train to Fort Lewis for basic training. Slept on the pavement for 2 weeks while reopening barracks from Korean War. Advanced Infantry Training was at Fort Ord, California. Then I went to Radio/Teletype school at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Held after completion for 3 weeks for secret security clearance. Ordered to 3/17 Air Calvary at Fort Knox /17 and 7/17 manned up, trained and departed as units to Nam I had made Sargent E5 in 13 months. Flew to California and boarded USS Walker, a recommissioned troop ship from WW2. Apx 30 days later arrived Nam, debarked into landing craft and went to shore as risk of enemy mortar or rocket propelled grenades were too great to dock. Directed by 1st sergeant to get into the cab of truck carrying my platoon. I met Danny Puzon, a schoolmate who only had 21 days left of his tour. 3/17 was attached to Big Red 1 for in country training. By Christmas the unit was in Tay Ninh attached to the 25th Infantry Division. While my platoon was sent to Cu Chi, I was sent to Dau Tieng to fill a liaison officer s position because of my security clearance. Spent Tet and remainder of tour there. Flew home to San Francisco for estimated termination of service from Army. Completed the rest of my 20 with MANG and retired. 13 Honaker, Kenneth Navy Navy Corpsman with US Marines in Vietnam '67-'68, and stateside '68-' Hopkins, William Navy I enlisted in the Naval Reserve on Gore Hill while I was still a senior. I didn't want to be drafted and sent to Vietnam in the infantry. In 1966, when my active duty was to begin, the Navy gathered all the guys from the northwest states into a company. We were all good with guns, having been sport hunters. Our company was called Sierra Company. We went to combat training in Camp Lejeune North Carolina, and were shipped out to Vietnam, (Hue) to be security for the Mobile Construction Battalion 7 (Seabees). While I was in Vietnam for my first tour, I saw action nightly, while defending the camp. I returned back to the states after an 8 month deployment, landing in Davisville, Rhode Island for R&R. Then our company was re-deployed to Vietnam (DaNang). In order to get off security, I volunteered to go with a detachment of Seabees to Dong Ha, 6 miles from the demilitarized zone. We built a galley for the Marines, huts for the Marines

3 to live in, and a runway. During this time, I lived in a tent and ate sea rations canned for the Korean War. While in Vietnam I sponsored a young girl to go to school. I returned to Great Falls after my second deployment, January 31, Jarman, Dick Air Force I graduated from West Point in 1969 and took my commission in the Air Force. Graduated from USAF Advanced Flying School in One tour in Vietnam flying jets in North Vietnam. Six years total as a line pilot when I got out. 16 Jeffries, Gordon Army One tour in Vietnam (1972) then served in Germany. I participated in Desert Shield- Desert Storm as CSM of the 12th Evacuation Hospital. I retired from active service in I then went to work as a DAC recovery room Nurse at Womack Army Hospital until Now I am retired. 17 Jones, Rodger Navy WestPac (Western Pacific) 18 Lang, Don Army Commissioned Infantry Officer from University of Montana Attended Infantry Officer Training and Special Operations Training at Ft Benning, Georgia and Ft Bragg, North Carolina summer and fall of Served as Platoon Leader and Weapons Platoon Leader with 1/26 Infantry Forward Division in Augsburg and Goeppingen, West Germany Transferred to 1st Infantry Division Forward Headquarters in G1 (Personnel) and later General s Aide from in Goeppingen, West Germany. 19 Madeen, Ron Navy Enlisted August Served as enlisted Radioman in Washington DC until commissioned in May Surface Navy duty in frigates, destroyers, cruisers; later staff duty on several aircraft carriers. Commanding Officer guided missile frigate USS M.S. TISDALE (FFG-27) 5/94-9/96. Eight overseas deployments mostly to Western Pacific. Retired 2001 as a Captain in US Navy. Seven overseas deployments; 17 career moves. 20 Mans, Ray Army Commissioned in school at Pacific University College of Optometry then served active duty in the medical service corps at Walter Reed Hospital, U.S. Soldiers

Joined the Marine Corps in Dec 1965 and went to Radio Telegraph School in San Diego in Went to Vietnam on the MSTS Gordon. From March of 1967 to March 1968, I was with 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, H and S Company, 81 mm Mortars. Assigned to Dĩ An, a US Army base. Flew scout helicopters for C Troop, 3rd Squadron of the 17th Cavalry Regiment (Air) for next twelve months. Stationed Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart for 8 months. Discharged 10 April 71 after four years, three months and ten days. Joined Montana National Guard (Army) in 1973 and flew helicopters for 16 years. Retired.
