14 14 Economic Issues Facing Veterans Lack the financial resources to attend college full-time. VA benefits payments are received after bills are due. VA takes 25 business days to process and pay a claim. Lack the financial resources to pay tuition by the required date. Some colleges take tuition money from other financial aid. Student cannot pay bills - rent, mortgage, utilities, car. Stress, family conflict, evictions, bad credit reports.
15 15 If none of this works, marry for money.
