I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMITTEE ON RULES OF I 2 MINA 'TRENT AI DOS NA LIHESLATURAN GUAHAN: 3 WHEREAS, Mrs. Rosita (Rose) Santos Wright is a native of Guam. She is 4 married to Harry Wright; and they have six children, and numerous grandchildren and I

3 1 great grandchildren who all love her dearly. Rose has served with dedication in the 2 federal civil service for the past forty-seven years; and 3 WHEREAS, in her present capacity serving as a Financial Manager of the 4 Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) on Guam, Mrs. Wright is known 5 for her expertise and commitment to performing exemplary work. She has provided 6 her colleagues with the best guidance needed to successfully manage the finances of 7 NAVFAC;and 8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Wright has proven to be an outstanding civil servant, and 9 with this she was recently awarded with the "Peggy B. Craig Life Service Award." l 0 Recipients of this award are individuals who have led a life of outstanding service 11 through their demonstration of professionalism, and that has resulted in a positive and 12 enduring impact on their organization; and 13 WHEREAS, established in 2012, the "Peggy B. Craig Life Service Award" 14 was created in memory of Peggy B. Craig, who selflessly served as a Navy civil 15 servant for forty-eight years, and who was the Special Assistant to twelve consecutive 16 Chiefs of Civil Engineers. This award is presented annually to active or retired civil 17 servants at NA VFAC, the First Naval Construction Division, and the Center for 18 Seabees and Facilities Engineering, or subordinate units, who have served for twenty 19 years or more; and 20 WHEREAS, I Liheslaturan Gudhan recognizes Mrs. Wright for being a role 21 model for the women of Guam. Her recent recognition and lifetime of service in the 22 U.S. Navy empowers all Guamanian women, and I Liheslatura further commends her 23 for going above and beyond the call of duty in her career. Over the years, Rose has 24 received numerous awards, such as, nine Quality Step Increases; fifteen Superior 25 Outstanding Awards; two Woman of the Year Awards; two Civilian Meritorious 26 Awards; and the "Peggy B. 4 1 also thanks the NA VF AC management for recognizing Mrs. Wright's exemplary 2 service, and for providing her with the opportunity and ability to exercise her expertise 3 in a renowned government arena; now therefore, be it 4 RESOLVED, that the Committee on Rules of I Mina'Trentai Dos Na 5 Liheslaturan Gudhan does hereby, on behalf of I Liheslaturan Gudhan and the people 6 of Guam, recognize and congratulate Mrs. Rosita Santos Wright on earning the 7 "Peggy B.
